EA NHL 24 update 1.50 (patch 1.5.0) is rolling out on PS4, PS5(Version 1.050.000) and Xbox players. According to the official NHL 24 1.50 patch notes, the latest update introduces fixes like resolving a rare issue of skaters getting stuck on the ice post-collision and addressing goalie animation glitches. In addition, NHL 24 patch 1.50 also brings game mode improvements, uniform additions for various leagues, and gameplay tuner updates, enhancing X-Factor bonuses and modifying the Sustained Pressure system to encourage more dynamic gameplay and counter strategies.
Previously, a major NHL update 1.40 added various quality of life changes and fixes.. Unfortunately, players are still facing server issues with the game. Today’s NHL 24 version 1.50 will address a few of these issues.

Gameplay Fixes
- Fixed a rare issue where a skater would remain stuck on the ice after colliding with the goalie.
- Addressed a glitch causing the goalie to trigger an exhausted Five Hole Save Animation erroneously.
Game Modes
- Resolved an issue with the Single Season Franchise Goalie Wins record not updating appropriately.
- Fixed a bug where the trade request conversation in Be a Pro mode remained inactive.
World of Chel
- Corrected the spelling of “Pharaohs” in the Play by Play selection of the Creation Zone.
- Rectified an issue where the FT6 Pro stick was incorrectly using the FT4 Pro Stick art.
- Fixed a crash occurring when selecting ‘view in creation zone’ after purchasing a special character bundle from the WoC store.
Hockey Ultimate Team
- Implemented various UI fixes.
Uniform Additions Added uniforms for NHL teams: Carolina Hurricanes Fourth, New Jersey Devils Stadium Series, New York Islanders Stadium Series, New York Rangers Stadium Series, Philadelphia Flyers Stadium Series, and San Jose Sharks Third. For AHL, ECHL, Canadian Hockey League, and IIHF, specific third uniforms were also introduced.
Gameplay Tuner Updates
- Enhanced the utility of specific X-Factors to offer players more strategies to counter different tactics during gameplay.
- Modified the Sustained Pressure system to encourage more chances for teams to achieve Full Pressure through successive counter attacks.
X-Factor Updates
- Increased the bonus “Shrug It Off” X-Factor applies to reduce stamina drain from hits.
- Increased the bonus “Ice Pack” and “Shutdown” X-Factor applies to reduce stamina drain on blocked shots.
- Increased the bonus “Back At Ya” X-Factor applies to Reverse Hits to create larger knockdowns.
- Increased “Bouncer” X-Factor ability to win loose puck battles in front of the net.
- Increased “Quick Pick” X-Factor ability to disrupt passes.
Gameplay Updates
- Reduced the drain rate of the Sustained Pressure meter when the puck is out of the zone.
- Decreased friction on Reverse Hit to facilitate the puck carrier in maintaining momentum and recovering loose pucks more efficiently.
