NFS Unbound update 1.09 (Version 1.000.009) details released on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official NFS Unbound 1.09 patch notes, the latest Need for Speed Volume 3 update adds a long list of bug fixes and gameplay improvements. Apart from this, NFS Unbound patch 1.09 also includes plenty of quality-of-life changes.
Previously. a major Need for Speed update 1.1.3 adds quality of life changes. Unfortunately, since the last patch, many players are still experiencing a number of issues while playing the game. Today’s Need for Speed Unbound patch 1.000.009 will fix a few of these issues.

Need for Speed Unbound 1.09 Patch Notes – June 12, 2023
Quality of Life Improvements:
- Vehicles obtained through EA Play Membership, in-game Store purchases, or Speed Pass will now be available in your Single Player garage after completing the prologue, instead of being limited to Lakeshore Online.
- Reduced the likelihood of immediately getting into another police chase after successfully escaping one.
- Screen Space Reflections are now enabled for cars on Ultra graphics quality on PC.
- Added Intel XeSS 1.1 as an Upsampler option on PC.
- Improved the quality of road reflections by including distant buildings.
- Enhanced CPU performance on PC.
- Reduced VRAM usage on NVIDIA 40 series GPUs on PC.
- Updated Nvidia DLSS to version 3.1.11 on PC.
- Updated AMD FSR 2 to the latest 2.2 version on PC.
- Increased the rewards for successfully escaping a cop chase and assisting in one.
- Different cop vehicles now have varying cash values when taken down in cop chases, instead of a universal value for all cop cars.
- Players who purchased the Deluxe Edition will receive $250,000 as a cash boost for each volume update as a token of appreciation.
- Subtitles text size can now be adjusted from three preset options, along with the ability to modify backing opacity and color.
- Players can now set their default time of day in Lakeshore Online, although this only affects Free Roam as events in playlists have their own defined time of day.
- Players can now teleport to Safehouses and Meetups when not in a cop chase, allowing for quick map navigation and car swapping.
- Players will receive a $5000 bonus cash for every rank they achieved prior to the release of Volume 3 with the new Speed Pass ranking system.
- Players can now preview their entire character before purchasing clothing to see how it looks with their overall outfit.
Campaign:
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to hide the UI in the campaign calendar, resulting in a broken camera.
- Fixed a problem where players would lose campaign progress when forcibly shutting down the PS5 console.
- Addressed various clipping issues with vehicles.
- Fixed an issue that caused players to spawn inside the garage after completing the prologue.
- Resolved an issue that caused the windows of initial campaign car select vehicles to have incorrect colors.
- Fixed an occasional problem where players would spawn in freedrive instead of the tutorial after selecting a car.
- Updated the safehouse description to properly update after purchase.
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to sell their first vehicle in the campaign, leaving them with no cars.
- Fixed an issue where the Milestone 1 meetup icon would appear during the qualifier races.
- Fixed a situation where players could receive two starter vehicles if they closed down the game immediately after the car select sequence.
- Fixed a UI issue that displayed rivals as available to beat even after defeating them.
- Fixed a problem where police helicopters would run out of fuel while the game was paused.
- Addressed a campaign exploit that allowed players to replay the Week 3 qualifier.
- Fixed an occasional issue where no Audio SFX would be triggered when accepting a phone call mission.
- Resolved a problem where AI rivals’ name cards would obstruct the player’s view.
- Fixed an issue where all collectible bears would reappear in the world when progressing to the next day.
- Fixed a bug where cop roadblock items would persistently show up on the map even when progressing to the next day.

- Added multiple stability improvements across both Campaign and Lakeshore Online
- Fixed an issue that caused the screen to freeze whilst recording with Nvidia Shadowplay on PC

- Fixed an issue that caused both “COP CHASE JOINED” and “COP CHASE STARTED” to appear one after another when assisting other players in a chase
