According to the official NFS Unbound Update 7.0.1 patch notes, the latest update introduces Drift and Drag modes inspired by the NFS Underground series, along with a League progression system and new customization options. Apart from this, Need For Speed Unbound patch 1.000.021 also includes stability fixes.
Previously. a major update 1.1.3 adds quality of life changes. Unfortunately, since the last patch, many players are still experiencing a number of issues while playing the game. Today’s NFS Unbound version 1.000.021 will fix a few of these issues.

Drag Mode Added to PvP and Free Roam
Brought back Drag Mode inspired by Underground. Here’s what to expect:
- Lane switching and manual gear shifting
- Tire warm-up sequences for Burst Nos
- New and old elements like rev counters and gear change UI
- Routes in Lakeshore for that Underground vibe
- Modes: ¼ mile, ½ mile, and longer strips
Drift Pro Mode Added to PvP and Free Roam
Drift enthusiasts, this one’s for you:
- Drift Pro Tires for natural, deeper drifts
- Streamlined scoring multipliers and chaining
- Twin drifting with collisions off
- 8-player events with a focus on high scores
Drift Tires for Improved Handling
Equip Drift Pro tires to participate in Drift Pro events. Don’t worry about cost; you can always borrow a loaner.
League Mode in Free Roam
Introducing Leagues for single-player progression online:
