2K Games has released a new NBA 2K25 patch 1.009 (version 1.009.000) on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official NBA 2K25 1.009 patch notes, the latest update introduces court tributes, City holiday updates, gameplay tweaks for better defensive mechanics, bug fixes, and new sponsor patches for team uniforms. Apart from this, today’s NBA 2K25 update 1.009 also enhances player hair dynamics and smoother roster editing.

Gameplay Enhancements
- Reduced the effectiveness of bump steals immediately after a change of possession.
- Right Stick Defense no longer performs jumps for contests or strips; only hands-up actions.
- Successful steals now apply slightly longer stuns to ball handlers for defensive recovery.
- Players cannot jump to block layups during strip animations until the strip finishes.
- Resolved rare issues in off-ball deny that caused offensive player movement restrictions.
- Fixed forced passing issues after fake passes during inbounds in 3v3 and 5v5 matches.
- AI defensive adjustments no longer affect MyCAREER user-controlled AI teammates.
- Corrected an issue where the timeout counter deducted an extra timeout in WNBA games.
- Addressed shot clock issues involving improper resets after ball-to-rim contact.
- Fixed missing plays in Favorite Plays due to size limitations.
- Adjusted Rebound and Tempo settings for easier editing with Adaptive Coaching disabled.
- Defensive Matchups no longer reset after timeouts.

- Fixed incorrect tracking of the Workout Warrior quest on additional saves.
- Teammates needed for Personal Goal objectives will now appear for quest completion.
- Resolved an issue with completing the All-Rookie team objective in the New Balance endorsement quest.
- GOAT Moment for winning all regular season games will now unlock correctly.
- Daily/Weekly quests will consistently appear across all save files.
- Custom jumpshots can now be deleted when more than 50 are created.

Triple Threat Park
- Voice chat enabled with opponents in 3v3 Co-op games.

MyPLAYER & MyCAREER:
- Fixed multiple MyPLAYER duplication: Resolved an issue where multiple versions of MyPLAYER appeared in the NBA during MyCAREER, which could prevent quests from completing.
Menus & Interface:
- Social Menu Hang Fixed: Addressed a bug where users experienced a hang when attempting to use the Social menu.
PC Version:
- PC Launch Errors Resolved: Fixed error messages and other issues when attempting to launch the PC version under specific conditions.
Online & Multiplayer:
- City Mode Connection Fixes: Resolved connection issues when playing “Starting 5” games in the City mode.
Performance:
- General Stability & Performance Enhancements: Various stability and performance improvements were made to enhance the overall experience.
Previously, 2K25 patch 1.007 added quality of life improvements. Unfortunately, since the release, players have been facing a number of error codes and connection issues. Today’s 2K25 update 1.010 will fix a few of these issues.
