Multiversus (MVP) Update 1.50 Patch Notes (version 1.050.000)

Multiversus update 1.50 (1.050.000) is available to download on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and PC. According to the official MVP update 1.50 patch notes, the latest update improves fighter purchases, fixes Wacky Weekend’s Star Contenders, and updates perks. Apart from this, MultiVersus version 1.050 also adjusts numerous character abilities, including significant Mystery Machine changes for Velma.

General

  • Fixed an issue where the Star Contenders mode for Wacky Weekend was not functioning properly.
  • Fighters can now be purchased using tickets or fighter currency, but only if you have enough of either.

Rifts

  • Fixed an issue where timed-release difficulties displayed as “Expired” instead of showing a countdown until their release.

Perks

Static Electricity

  • Text updated to reflect “3 seconds” duration instead of “2 seconds,” matching actual behavior.
  • Light projectiles no longer count as distinct attacks for perk charging.
  • Direct damage (e.g., fire/shock debuffs) no longer counts as distinct attacks for perk charging.

Characters

Agent Smith

  • Air/Ground Neutral Attack (Cooldown): On-hit cancel window delayed by 8 frames.
  • Side Attack 1: Hitstun reduced from 1.9 to 1.5.
  • Side Attack 1: Animation and attack properties updated; hitbox size adjusted to align with new visuals.

Arya

  • Air/Ground Neutral Special: Fixed a bug allowing Arya to cancel the start-up of face-steal attacks.

Batman

  • Air/Ground Neutral Attack: Fixed an issue where Batarang wouldn’t reflect properly.
  • Air/Ground Neutral Special: Bat bomb no longer applies to map enemies like Mojo Jojo.

Bugs Bunny

  • Air/Ground Down Attack (Pie):
    • Pie projectile is no longer broken by melee attacks that wouldn’t normally destroy projectiles.
    • Fixed a bug where pie would be destroyed by an ally’s melee attack in specific scenarios.

Iron Giant

  • Rage Air/Ground Side Special: Plasma orb projectile now stops after successfully trapping an enemy.

Jason

  • Air Down Attack: Hitbox size adjusted to align with visuals.

LeBron

  • Air Down Attack (No Basketball): Hitbox size adjusted to align with visuals.

Raven

  • General: Updated several animations for visual clarity.
  • Ground Neutral Attack: Fixed a bug preventing this attack from being blocked by some projectile-blocking effects.

Reindog

  • Air Up Special: Fixed an issue where Reindog could not be grabbed by enemies during this attack.

Samurai Jack

  • Air Neutral Special: Fixed a bug where grabbing certain projectiles instantly filled the focus meter.

Taz

  • General: Fixed an issue where Taz rotated incorrectly when bouncing off terrain.
  • Air/Ground Neutral Special: Fixed an issue where eaten fighters didn’t follow Taz as he moved.
  • Air/Ground Up Special: First hit now combos more reliably into follow-up hits.

The Joker

  • Air Neutral Special: Visuals adjusted to match hitbox placement.

Velma

  • Passive: Fixed a bug where spawning evidence consumed the Static Electricity perk’s electric projectile buff.
  • Ground Down Special (Mystery Machine):
    • Buffs:
      • Cancel window after summoning advanced by 40 frames.
      • Activation time reduced from 1 second to 0.6 seconds.
      • Air speed increased to 2500 from 2000.
      • Movement begins 0.67 seconds after capturing an enemy, down from 2.5 seconds.
      • Gains a small move speed buff after capturing an enemy.
    • Nerfs:
      • Capture hitbox size reduced.
      • Cannot capture fighters while in hitstun.
      • Self-destructs after 10 seconds if no fighter is captured.
    • Adjustments:
      • Escape button mash requirement is easier at low damage but harder at high damage.
      • Fixed various issues:
        • Mystery Machine jumping to track enemies.
        • Mash timer appearing far above the Mystery Machine.
        • Prevented invisibility-based fighters from turning invisible or performing certain actions after being captured.

Previously, a major MultiVersus update 1.07 added new features, fixes, and more. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues. Today’s MultiVersus patch 1.50 will fix a few of these issues.
