MOUSE P.I. For Hire update 1.009 (v1.0.5) fixes a black screen freeze on PC, ensures frame rate settings persist, fixes a door sequence issue, prevents players from getting stuck in level geometry, and restores missing quest elements in Fart Harbor.
According to the official MOUSE P.I. For Hire patch 1.009 patch notes, the latest update also removes progression blockers and stability problems.

Fixes and Improvements
- Resolved a problem that could leave some PC players stuck on a black screen.
- FPS preferences now save correctly between game launches on PC and PC handheld systems.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent progression during the six-door event in the Tinsel Ave. level.
- Adjusted level geometry in Wallop Bay to stop players from getting trapped in certain spots.
- Restored the missing NPC in the “Friends in Deep Places” side quest within the Fart Harbor area.
- Corrected the spawn behavior of the quest item in “Slugs in the Shell” so it appears as intended in Fart Harbor.
Recently, Mouse update 1.007 added quality of life changes and tweaks. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues while playing the game. Today’s MOUSE: P.I. For Hire version 1.009.000 will fix a few of these issues.
