MLB The Show 23 update 1.17 (1.017) is available on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox consoles. Accroding to the MLB The Show 23 1.17 patch notes, the latest update brings new equipment to celebrate Roberto Clemente Day. Apart from this, today’s MLB the Show 23 patch 1.16 (version 1.017.000) also addresses issues with Diamond Dynasty and ensures proper display of nicknames for Incognito Series players.
Previously, a minor MLB 23 update 1.02 added quality-of-life improvements. Recently, MLB 23 patch 1.04 also added minor tweaks and fixes. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing various issues with the game. Today’s MLB The Show 23 version 1.17 will address a few of these issues.

DIAMOND DYNASTY
- Incognito Series players will have nicknames displayed properly under fielders, in box scores, in menu text, etc. following the content update around Noon PT on Friday, Sept. 15.
- NOTE: The nicknames will not be displayed on the backs of jerseys.
- Fixed an issue where a user would not return to the correct program when re-entering the Other Programs screen.
EQUIPMENT
- Added new equipment to celebrate Roberto Clemente Day.
DEVELOPER NOTES
- There are no gameplay or live content balance changes at this time.
