Minecraft Version 3.07 Patch Notes for PS4, PC and Xbox One

Minecraft version 3.07 is rolling out on PS4, PC and Xbox One. According to the official Minecraft 3.07 patch notes, the latest update introduces Bundles as an experimental feature to stack multiple item types in a single slot. Significant block changes include fixes for waterlogged blocks, block splitting, and consistency updates across logs, walls, and kelp placement. Apart from this, today’s Minecraft patch 3.07 also address issues like boats disappearing on ice, lectern crashes, and vehicle dismounting.

Experimental Features

Bundles

  • Overview: Bundles allow stacking different item types in a single inventory slot, removing wasted space.
  • Usage: Insert items directly into Bundles via inventory. Tooltip shows contents (up to 3 rows, 8 items). Items can be removed individually using various controls.
  • Crafting: Crafted with 1 String and 1 Leather. Recipe unlocks upon obtaining either item.
  • Known Issues:
    • Incorrect item icons may appear when moving items on touch devices.
    • Bundles may lose contents when used in certain scenarios (Decorated Pots, Allay, Hoppers).

Blocks

  • Vertical Waterlogged Block Fix: Fixed ghost water creation when retracting waterlogged blocks with a piston.
  • Purpur Block Splitting: “purpur_block” split into unique instances. Deprecated blocks hidden from commands/inventory.
  • Block Behavior Consistency: Logs, Woods, and related blocks now treated uniformly across scenarios (e.g., mob landings).
  • Walls: Multiple wall types split into unique instances, with adjusted destruction times:
    • Granite, Diorite, Andesite Walls: 1.5 seconds.
    • Sandstone Wall: 0.8 seconds.
    • End Stone Brick Wall: 3.0 seconds.

Crafting

  • Firework Crafting Fix: Adding/removing items in the grid now correctly updates the output.

Gameplay

  • Boat Behavior on Ice: Boats no longer disappear when sliding on ice.
  • End Gateway Portal Fix: Fixed teleport issue near End Portal.
  • Dismounting Vehicles: Players no longer sink into the ground when dismounting vehicles on certain platforms.

  • Waterlogged Blocks: Vertically retracting waterlogged blocks with a Piston no longer creates ghost water (MCPE-144222).
  • Purpur Block: “purpur_block” split into “purpur_block”, “purpur_pillar”, with deprecated blocks hidden for compatibility.
  • Block Consistency: Logs, Woods, Stripped variants are now consistently recognized by mobs for landing.
  • Kelp, Seagrass, Turtle Eggs: Can no longer be placed on any type of fence.

Crafting

  • Firework Crafting: Adding/removing items in the crafting grid now correctly updates the output (MCPE-183455).

Gameplay

  • Ominous Bottle: Bad Omen effect applies properly when a player has a lower level bottle.
  • Boats on Ice: Boats no longer disappear when sliding on ice (MCPE-180432).
  • Lectern Crash: Fixed a crash when opening a Lectern while a Sticky Piston is moving it (MCPE-183508).
  • Dismounting Vehicles: Players no longer sink into the ground when dismounting vehicles on certain platforms (MCPE-184363, MCPE-182448).
  • Trial Spawners: Collision shape now matches the size of an ordinary block (MCPE-178305).
  • End Gateway Portal: Fixed issue teleporting players near End Portal (MCPE-66061).
  • Camera Set Command: ‘/camera set’ command now executes in the correct order during existing camera interpolation (MCPE-183986).

General

  • Placeholder Textures: Fixed an issue where placeholder textures appeared after minimizing and restoring the game window.
  • Entity Name Tags: Added input glyph support for name tags displayed over entities.

Graphical

  • Banners Rendering: Fixed an issue where banners rendered before other transparent objects regardless of position (MCPE-130262).
  • Framerate Slider: Renamed maximum framerate slider to “Framerate Limit” with a tooltip for clarification.

Items

  • Banner Pattern Names: Now display their pattern type in the name instead of as a subtitle (MCPE-182508).
  • Smithing Templates: Items are now named after their template type, with “Smithing Template” as a subtitle in hover text.
  • Block Items: Fixed issue where block items turned into incorrect variants when importing worlds older than 1.5.0 (MCPE-181944).
  • Enchanted Golden Apple: Renamed to match Java Edition.
  • Material Reducer: Fixed issues with recipes not working on flattened blocks like Andesite or Terracotta (EDU).

Mobs

  • Custom Entity Names: Fixed custom entity names not appearing correctly in death messages (MCPE-158447).
  • Breeze Attack: Breeze no longer requires a minimum distance to attack a target (MCPE-183011).
  • Parrots: Parrots can now imitate Endermite and Drowned (MCPE-46302).

Multiplayer

  • Invite Screen: Fixed issue where the invite screen substatus was incorrect.

PlayStation®VR

  • Support Ending: PlayStation®VR support ends after March 2025; players can still play on PlayStation® without VR.

Realms

  • Backup List: Realms backup list now shows the creation date instead of the age of the backup.
  • Text Overlap: Fixed overlapping text in Realms Stories on Galaxy Z Flip devices.
  • Gamepad UI Overlap: Gamepad legend no longer overlaps UI when choosing a preview realm.
  • Realm ID: Displayed in debug text when connected to a Realm in preview/beta builds.
  • Subscription Tab: Only shown to the primary player in split-screen mode.

Sounds

  • Sculk Charge: Sculk charge particles now have sound.
  • Wither Skeleton: Wither Skeleton now has a unique “step” sound (MCPE-174857).
  • Basalt Deltas: Moody ambient sound has been restored.

Stability and Performance

  • Texture Data: Fixed a crash caused by loading texture data (MCPE-184728).

Touch Controls

  • D-pad Improvements: Compact new d-pad with back strafing buttons and a zone to prevent camera movement when using touch controls.
  • D-pad Bug: Fixed an issue where the hide HUD command didn’t hide the d-pad.

Trial Chambers

  • Empty Chests: Replaced with a Hopper and Barrel to better show players the intended disposal and inventory management system.

User Interface

  • Softlock: Fixed a softlock when purchasing subscriptions.
  • Ominous Bottle Prompt: “Drink” interaction prompt now displays when holding an Ominous Bottle.
  • Health Display: HUD now correctly rounds player health up, fixing display of empty health icons (MCPE-183157).
  • Chat Scroll Position: Scroll position of chat output is maintained when the game screen regains focus.
  • Shortened URL: The URL for signing in on another device is shortened to microsoft.com/link.
  • Screenshot Feature: Added button and hotkeys to take in-game screenshots.

  • Beacon Title Text: Now consistent with other containers in Pocket UI (MCPE-176186).

  • Stonecutter Arrow: Arrow now always visible on Stonecutter screen (MCPE-160236).
  • Durability Bar: Fixed incorrect size and placement of item durability and storage bars on certain screens.
  • World Seed Template: Fixed missing button on the Create New World screen.

Vanilla Parity

  • Fire Resistance: Snow Golems with Fire Resistance no longer take damage in warm biomes (MCPE-94448).
  • Pumpkin Golems: Uncarved pumpkins no longer create Snow Golems and Iron Golems (MCPE-33801).
  • Enchanted Item Rarity: Item rarity now increases when enchanted:
    • Common/Uncommon items become Rare.
    • Rare items become Epic.
    • Epic items remain Epic.
  • Splashing Sounds: Entities falling into water now make the correct splashing sound (MCPE-44120).
  • Scaffolding Block Placement: Fixed bug preventing placement on top of a Structure Block (MCPE-169818).
  • Enchantment Levels: Single-level enchantments no longer display level “I” in their name.
  • Item Name Parity: Multiple items’ names updated to match Java Edition (e.g., “Book & Quill” -> “Book and Quill”).
  • Mooshroom Spawn Light Level: Mooshrooms now spawn at light level 9 and above (MCPE-66830).
  • Mushroom Farm Fix: Corrected Dirt spawn in Woodland Mansion mushroom farms to Coarse Dirt.
  • Redstone Power Parity: Specific blocks’ redstone power behavior brought to parity with Java Edition.
  • Snow Drop Fix: Top Snow mined with Silk Touch now drops based on layer amount (MCPE-59729).
  • Cyan Dye: Now crafts two Cyan Dye from one Pitcher Plant (MCPE-171061).
  • Fox Health: Foxes now have 10 health (MCPE-48233).
  • Villager Sounds: Villagers no longer make idle sounds while sleeping.

Previously, a big Minecraft update 2.93 addressed critical issues with game performance, stability, and gameplay mechanics. Key fixes include resolving download problems, improving mob behavior, and refining block interactions. Unfortunately, since the last MC patch 2.92, players are still facing issues with the game. Today’s Minecraft PS4 update 3.07 will fix a few of these issues.
