Minecraft Version 2.86 Patch Notes for PS4

Minecraft version 2.86 is rolling out on PS4, Xbox One, Android, Switch and PC. According to the official Minecraft 2.86 patch notes, the latest update primarily focuses on fixing crashes and issues with the Marketplace, improving the overall stability and user experience for Minecraft players. Apart from this, today’s Minecraft update 2.86 also includes a fix for a versioning bug affecting server UI modules.

Previously, a big Minecraft update 2.72 added quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Unfortunately, since the last MC patch 2.73, players are still facing issues with the game. Today’s Minecraft PS4 update 2.86 will fix a few of these issues.

The following changes were added previously.

  1. Resolved a problem where the game could crash if you tried to join a private online world after being inactive for some time.
  2. Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when trying to connect to public featured online servers.
  3. Addressed a crash specific to Amazon devices that happened when a player with a previous online world purchase tried to create a new online world.
  4. Corrected a glitch that could freeze the game when navigating through the in-game store.
  5. Improved the in-game store search function so that it now shows more than just the top row of items when you search, filter, or sort.
  6. Made sure that when you search in the in-game store, the world type filters you choose are taken into account.
