Minecraft version 1.020 (Bedrock 1.21.81) is available to download on PS5. According to the official Minecraft 1.020 patch notes, the latest update resolves improves combat, crafting, and server interactions. In addition, today’s Minecraft patch 1.020 (version 1.020.000) also fixes an issue that stopped players from joining Realms through the Friends menu.

Graphical
- Fixed an issue where Vibrant Visuals (Experimental) would sometimes apply to worlds that do not correctly support it
- Fixed an issue that could cause pixelated distortion on specific iOS devices (MCPE-218490
Gameplay
- Fixed a bug where hitting blocks while swimming would cause players to slow down too much (MCPE-201832)
Performance and Stability
- Fixed a crash that could occur when loading a world with leashed entities in it
- Fixed a crash that could occur after activating “SplashPotChange” and “LingeringPotChange” resource packs (MCPE-217599)
API
- Fixed bug where block custom component event
beforeOnPlayerPlace
was not using read only privilege. Due to V1.X.X of scripting releasing without read only privilege, the fix is now only applied to V2.X.X and higher versions of scripting
Components
- “minecraft:leashable” component values can once again be updated at runtime via component groups
- “minecraft:leashable” presets are now re-evaluated every tick instead of only when the entity is leashed
Gameplay Fixes
- Sprint jumping while attacking no longer slows players down.
- Players can now hit each other properly, even with lag.
- Player collision no longer breaks after sleeping in a bed.
User Interface Fixes
- Bundles now craft correctly, even when holding another Bundle.
- Fixed an issue that stopped players from joining Realms through the Friends menu.
Server Updates
- Added a new setting for stricter entity interactions in
server.properties

. - Default is off, but can be turned on for more control.
Other Fixes
- Command Block names now show correctly in GUI messages.
Previously, a big Minecraft update 2.87 added quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Unfortunately, since the last MC patch 2.73, players are still facing issues with the game. Today’s Minecraft version 1.020.000 will fix a few of these issues.
