Minecraft update 1.010 (Bedrock 1.21.50) is rolling out on PS5. According to the official Minecraft 1.010 patch notes, the new Garden Awakens update introduces the Pale Garden biome, a mysterious new area filled with unique features like the Pale Oak tree, Eyeblossoms, and the hostile Creaking mob. In addition, today’s Minecraft patch 1.010 (version 1.010.000) also adds new blocks like Resin Bricks, and bug fixes, gameplay improvements, and accessibility upgrades.

New Biome: Pale Garden
Overview
- Biome Type: Variation of the Dark Forest.
- Key Features:
- Carpeted with Pale Moss blocks and Pale Moss Carpet.
- Dominated by Pale Oak trees with Hanging Pale Moss.
- Home to Eyeblossoms, a unique flower with day-night transitions.
- Animal mobs do not spawn naturally here.
- Includes eerie ambient sounds generated by biome-specific blocks.
New Blocks
Pale Oak Set
- Woodcraft Items: Includes planks, doors, signs, fences, boats, and more.
- Saplings can grow into 2×2 Pale Oak trees.
Pale Moss Variants
- Pale Moss Blocks & Carpets: Grow naturally; carpets spread across solid surfaces when bone-mealed.
Resin & Resin Bricks
- Resin Clumps:
- Dropped by the Creaking Heart.
- Usable for armor trimming.
- Craftable into Resin Bricks or solid blocks.
- Resin Brick Variants: Stairs, walls, slabs, and chiseled blocks.
Creaking Heart
- “Living” block inside Pale Oak trees.
- Mechanics:
- Spawns a Creaking mob at night.
- Emits vibrations and eerie sounds during activation.
- Drops 20–24 XP (even with Silk Touch).
New Mob: Creaking
- Spawning:
- Linked to Creaking Hearts at night in Pale Gardens.
- Spawns are unconnected to light levels.
- Behavior:
- Freezes when looked at unless the player wears a carved pumpkin.
- Invulnerable unless its Heart is destroyed.
- Cannot travel through portals or use boats.
- Crumbles when stuck in a hole with a player for 5+ seconds.
- Sound Design:
- Features swaying and attack sounds.
- Creaking Spawn Egg:
- Spawns a standalone, mortal Creaking with 1 health point.
Eyeblossoms
- Variants:
- Closed Eyeblossom: Daytime flower.
- Open Eyeblossom: Glows at night with ambient sound effects.
- Interactions:
- Bees are poisoned upon contact.
- Suspicious Stew made from Eyeblossoms induces Blindness (Open) or Nausea (Closed).
- Produces Gray Dye (Closed) and Orange Dye (Open).
Gameplay Enhancements
Pale Garden Interactions
- Eyeblossoms can be bonemealed for harvesting.
- Ambient sounds dynamically change based on the player’s position.
General Fixes:
- Improved tools’ effectiveness on blocks.
- Updated Moss and Nylium mechanics.
- Adjusted Suspicious Stew effects for parity across versions.
Bug Fixes
Blocks & Items
- Fixed mining mechanics for numerous blocks, ensuring consistent drops and speeds.
- Resolved texture and placement issues with new and legacy blocks.
Mobs
- Evokers and Vindicators no longer attack Pillagers after provocation.
- Ravagers: Can now destroy all leaf block types.
- Feeding Bees poisonous flowers now applies corresponding effects.
User Interface & Accessibility
- Redesigned Sleep Screen:
- Updated animations, messages, and layout.
- Enhanced accessibility features for Realms and touch controls.
Performance
- Improved stability during world generation, chunk loading, and Realms interaction.
- Fixed crash issues on various platforms.
Previously, a big Minecraft update 2.87 added quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Unfortunately, since the last MC patch 2.73, players are still facing issues with the game. Today’s Minecraft version 1.010.000 will fix a few of these issues.
