Minecraft Bedrock PS4 update 2.09 (July 8, 2020) released for players. According to the official Minecraft 2.09 patch notes, the latest hotfix brings some minor fixes to the game. Apart from this, Minecraft Bedrock PS4 Update 2.09 also includes stability and performance improvements.

Previously, Nether update was released with new features, bug fixes, gameplay changes and more. Recently, a minor hotfix was also released.

Unfortunately, many players are still experiencing several issues when trying to play the game online. Today’s Minecraft 2.09 is expected to fix a few of these issues.

What is new in Minecraft Bedrock PS4 Update 2.09?

Today’s update will enable you to clear your sign in data when launching the game, which will avoid the issue where the game is getting stuck on the loading screen and potentially crashing.

  • Implemented a workaround button combination on startup to clear the player’s download cache on PS4.

You may wish to try the following after the game has updated to version 1.16.1.03:

  1. Launch Minecraft
  2. When the initial loading screen appears, hold the following buttons:
  3. Button combination is L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 + OPTIONS + Touch Pad, and must be held until the initial splash screen is removed
