Minecraft 2.51 Patch Notes (Minecraft PS4 version 2.51)

Minecraft update 2.51 (Bedrock 1.19.31) for PS4 is now available for players. According to the official Minecraft 2.51 patch notes, the latest update brings some minor fixes and tweaks to the game. Apart from this, today’s Minecraft version 2.51 also includes performance improvements.

Previously, a big update added various bug fixes and tweaks. Unfortunately, players are still facing issues with the game. Today’s Minecraft patch 2.51 will fix a few of these issues.

Minecraft Update 2.51 Patch Notes (Bedrock)

Changes:

  • As of October 5, 2022, players on the Xbox versions of Minecraft will begin receiving an update that improves game performance, alongside a few other changes. You can read more about this in our.


New Mobile Touch Controls:

  • Under Settings > (Controls) > Touch there is a new toggle entitled, Enable New Touch Controls Schemes. When toggled ON, a new Interaction Model dropdown menu will appear, allowing players to use the new Touch scheme, the new Crosshair scheme, or the original Classic scheme.

Fixes:

  • Fixed several crashes that could occur during gameplay
  • Fixed terrain on Maps getting replaced with black pixels.
  • Fixed a bug that unbound the Inventory key when using the Full Keyboard Gameplay toggle
  • Fixed players sometimes spawning under the obsidian platform and falling into the void after entering an End Portal for the first time after the 1.19.30 update on Realms.

The following changes were added previously.

Changes:

  • Introducing Spectator Mode experimental toggle. Players can now try out an early development version of Spectator Mode
  • For now, we will not be accepting bug reports related to Spectator Mode since its current implementation is very early in development and subject to change

Fixes:

  • Fixed several crashes that could occur during gameplay
  • Fixed an exploit with improperly gaining XP through Furnaces.
  • Teleporting entities into unloaded chunks no longer deletes them
  • Fixed the screen turning black when reloading RTX worlds.
  • Fixed textures of distant blocks appearing grainy, warped, and distorted when playing on Android devices .
  • Fixed flowing water and lava textures not appearing correctly on iOS devices
  • Fixed various framerate hitches, particularly impacting less powerful mobile devices.
  • Mobs can no longer spawn on Buttons.
  • Fixed an issue where repeatedly saving and reloading specific chunks would result in delayed chunk loading, performance issues, and game instability.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented worlds from being opened after updating to version 1.18.30
  • The “Sound of Music” achievement now unlocks when requirements are met
  • Fixed issues with Marketplace not opening on Nintendo Switch.
  • Fixed an infinite loading screen that could occur when making purchases in Marketplace
  • Addressed a bug with owned content not appearing in the inventory after redeeming a retail code.

Multiplayer is still compatible with platforms running other non-beta versions of 1.17.
