Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, 3 Master Collection update 2.00 is now available on PlayStation 4. According to the official Metal Gear Solid update 2.00 patch notes, the new update enhances display options with new resolution presets, custom visual settings, and sharper visuals. Control settings now allow for greater customization, including mouse sensitivity adjustments. In addition, Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, 3 version 2.0.0 also includes stability fixes.
A previous update 1.3 added various gameplay changes and improvements. Unfortunately, many players were experiencing a number of issues when trying to play the game. Today’s MGS patch 2.0 is expected to fix all these issues. Check out the patch notes below.

Screen Settings Updates
Resolution Menu Added
- New Resolution settings allow players to choose between presets or customize visual performance.
- Changes to these settings cannot be adjusted once the game has started. Revert to default if instability occurs.
Resolution Presets
- Original Mode
- Displays the game at its original resolution.
- Settings Applied:
- Internal Resolution: Original
- Internal Upscaling: Default
- Movie: Original
- Adjusted Mode
- Displays at the highest resolution supported by your monitor for sharper visuals.
- Settings Applied:
- Internal Resolution: FHD (1080p)
- Internal Upscaling: Max up to FHD, WQHD (1440p), or 4K (2160p).
- Movie: High Resolution
Note: Systems below FHD default to Original settings.
- Custom Preset
- Fully adjustable settings for tailored performance:
- Internal Resolution: Select Original or FHD.
- Internal Upscaling: Choose Default, FHD, WQHD, or 4K.
- Movie Resolution: Choose between Original or High Resolution.

Upscaling Notes
- Higher resolutions result in sharper visuals.
- Options depend on your setup’s capabilities.
- If the monitor supports higher resolutions than selected, the game will use the original release’s upscaling method.

Controller Settings
- Assign controller buttons via the Controller Settings menu.
Keyboard & Mouse Settings
- Choose between:
- Layout A: Default layout (up to Ver.1.5.1).
- Layout B: New layout introduced in Ver.2.0.0.
- Custom: Fully customizable layout.
- Overlapping controls may result in some actions not functioning. Reassign if needed.
Mouse Sensitivity Settings
- Added options for:
- Mouse movement sensitivity.
- Scroll wheel sensitivity.
