Marathon Update 1.025 Patch Notes for PS5 and PC (Patch 1.1.5)

Bungie has released a new Marathon update 1.025 (version 1.025.000) on PS5 and PC. According to the official Marathon update 1.1.5 patch notes, the latest update introduces the Vault Breaker PvE mode, Cradle Evolution, grenade loadout restrictions, major weapon and Runner Shell balance changes, extensive bug fixes across contracts and maps, plus graphics stability improvements and better overall gameplay reliability. Additionally, Marathon patch 1.025 also includes stability fixes.

General

  • Added the experimental PvE mode Vault Breaker.
  • Players can tackle Cryo Archive solo, as a duo, or with a full crew through progressively harder vaults.
  • Introduced a dedicated progression system exclusive to Vault Breaker.
  • Added Player Voice Reporting and Voice Moderation support.

Item Economy

Armory

  • Ganglion barter stock is now limited to three purchases, except for Hyphatic Gel.
  • Fixed unintended Ganglion barter rerolls.
  • Updated selected barter costs to require Rubber Salvage.

Cradle

  • Restored the previous 25% Cradle progression reduction.
  • Added Cradle Evolution for level 70 Cradles.
  • Each evolution increases the energy cap by one, resets Cradle level and invested energy, and grants one permanent energy point.
  • Cradle Evolution can be completed up to seven times.

Pursuit Upgrades

  • Corrected MIDA Capstone V requirement display.
  • Fixed locked stacked upgrade nodes.
  • Resolved incorrect upgrade purchase notifications.

Items & Inventory

  • Added a toggle to enable or disable free sponsored kits after death.
  • Fixed duplicate sell options in item tooltips.
  • Corrected missing Salvage usage information.
  • Fixed sponsored kit self-revive display issues.
  • Resolved Scrap conversion problems.

Ranked

  • Fixed Rank Points displaying as zero in Run Reports.
  • Sponsored kits now refresh correctly after rank changes.

Map Loot

  • Fixed multiple loot containers and UESC Cert interaction issues.
  • Resolved container clipping and player collision problems.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed login loop issues.
  • Improved multi-select item visuals.
  • Prevented accidental overflow sell-all actions.

Combat

Loadout Limits

  • Introduced a limit of two Loadout-Limited items when entering a match.
  • Applies to Bubble Shield, Chem Grenade, EMP Grenade, Flechette Grenade, Frag Grenade, and Heat Grenade.
  • Extra restricted items can still be looted and extracted during gameplay.

Equipment

  • Bubble Shield
    • Removed movement slowdown when entering the shield.
    • PvP health reduced from 560 to 400.
    • UESC durability increased from 1680 to 2500.
    • Grenades now correctly damage Bubble Shields and deal twice as much damage.
  • Energy Amp
    • Passive ability regeneration reduced by 40%.
    • Buff duration increased from two to three minutes.

Effects

  • Invisibility now flickers after sprinting for more than two seconds.
  • Nearby AI can hear invisible players and begin searching for them.

Runner Shells

  • Assassin – Smoke Dive cooldown reduced from 60 to 45 seconds.
  • Recon – Echo Pulse now sends fewer waves with longer intervals and shorter ping duration.
  • Thief – Pickpocket Drone now includes Darksight in flashlight zones.
  • Sentinel – Defender System cooldown reduced, Snare Mine damage increased, Prey Tracker is no longer affected by Signal Jammer, and grenade interception bug fixed.
  • Destroyer – Fixed Search and Destroy rocket charge progression.
  • Rook – Recuperation healing rate increased from 2 to 3 HP per second and duration increased from 20 to 30 seconds.

Implants & Backpacks

  • Updated implant icons.
  • Triage Cloak now activates when using Mercy Kits.
  • Fixed Sneak Pack Signal Jammer interaction with Claymores.
  • Resolved loot deletion after backpack removal from death bags.

Weapons

  • D54 Battle Pistol – Reduced precision multiplier and effective range.
  • V22 Volt Thrower – Removed target lock delay, increased projectile speed, and retuned fire rate.
  • Twin Tap HBR – Increased damage, precision bonus, burst speed, and improved the Q-Tap Regen Prestige Mod.
  • KKV-9SD – Increased base damage while reducing reliance on precision hits.
  • CE Tactical Sidearm – Improved ADS accuracy.
  • Bully SMG – Reduced magazine sizes and effective range.
  • WSTR Combat Shotgun – Increased damage while reducing precision bonus, range, and aim assist effectiveness.
  • Misriah 2442 – Reduced damage, precision bonus, fire rate, and range effectiveness. Updated Full-Auto Selector Prestige Mod.
  • Volt Battery weapons now generate four times more trickle charge while moving.

Chips

  • Removed unintended camera shake from Exit Buddy activation.

Contracts

  • Fixed progression blocking in MIDA Expose/Extinguish contracts.
  • Traxus Unsanctioned Hostilities now supports recovering contract items from other players.
  • Updated Return on Investment 5/5 so all contract holders receive completion credit.

Zones

  • Fixed multiple collision, containment, and inaccessible loot issues.
  • Added new faction reputation sources to Cryo Archive.
  • Added more cover near vulnerable Dire Marsh infil locations.
  • Improved Cryo Archive exfil icons and Scanner HUD duration.
  • Fixed numerous waypoint, event, interaction, audio, and objective issues across maps.

Stability & Graphics

  • Fixed multiple graphics crashes related to loading, FSR, and game shutdown.
  • Improved HDR reticle visibility.
  • Improved flashlight rendering.
  • Fixed flashing shield visual artifacts.
  • Improved AMD GPU performance for Thief X-Ray.
  • Resolved delays when signing in on multiple devices.

Recently, the Marathon update 1.005 added quality of life changes. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues while playing the game. Today’s Marathon update 1.1.5 will fix a few of these issues.
