Marathon Update 1.011 Patch Notes (v1.0.5.3) for PS5 and PC

Bungie has released a new Marathon update 1.011 (1.0.5.3) on PS5 and PC. According to the official Marathon update 1.0.5.3 patch notes, the latest update focuses on reducing melee dominance, rebalancing defensive tools, and improving system reliability. Apart from this, Marathon patch 1.011 also fixes several gameplay exploits and progression issues, while contract and extraction mechanics were made more consistent.

• Knife reach and targeting window reduced to limit aggressive melee engagements.
• Bubble Shield durability lowered and rarity increased, with updated damage interactions.

Combat

Knife

• Maximum lunge range decreased by approximately 10%.
• Targeting angle tightened by roughly 20%.

Bubble Shield

• Item rarity increased from Deluxe (blue) to Superior (purple).
• Shield health reduced by 33%.
• No longer takes extra damage from Volt weapons.
• Resistance to UESC damage increased by 17%.

• Maximum bonus damage against enemy Runners reduced from 100% to 50%.
• Damage values against non-Runner targets remain unchanged.

Thief

• Resolved additional movement exploits related to Grapple slide canceling.

• Fixed a problem causing the Vault and Armory to occasionally appear empty.
• Fixed inconsistent refresh behavior for Armory items and daily free rewards.

• Removed the requirement to complete objectives within a single run for Return On Investment 4/5.

• Fixed an issue where the extraction countdown could reset if the first player exited the zone while others remained inside.
