Bungie has released a new Marathon update 1.017 (v1.0.9) on PS5 and PC. According to the official Marathon update 1.0.9 patch notes, Warden Hunt now runs through the end of Season 1 with expanded spawn areas, guaranteed key drops, and boosted XP rewards. Rook received temporary upgrades, Self-Revive was slowed, and several exploits tied to mods, barriers, reputation rewards, and combat behavior were corrected. Additionally, Marathon patch 1.017 also includes stability and gameplay performance improvements.
Season 1 Update Summary

Warden Hunt
- Warden Hunt event extended through the remainder of Season 1.
- Wardens can now appear in Perimeter, Dire Marsh, and Outpost locations.
- Locked room keys now always drop from Wardens.
- Key Templates changed from Fragile to Compromised.
- Every run now guarantees a chance for a zone event such as Lockdowns or Intercepts.

- Pocket Change no longer grants ammo after defeating ticks.
- Common Enemy tooltip duration corrected.
- Impact Shockwave can no longer instantly down stronger shield users.
- Impact Shockwave player explosive damage reduced by 75%.
- Overclock Delimiter exploit with barriers removed.
- Charged projectiles can no longer bypass Bubble shields.
- Ram-Page Mag Claymore damage issue fixed.
Rook Updates
- Rook now starts with Deluxe Patch Kits and Shield Charges.
- Rook now starts with Deluxe Shield Implants.
