Before you proceed, check for any Madden NFL 23 scheduled maintenance. It is possible that game servers are down for backend server maintenance.
March 9, 2023 – Server Maintenance is scheduled for 6:00 AM ET, Thursday, March 9th. During this time, all online modes will be offline. Solo Battles will be gated at 5:30 AM ET. MUT will be gated at 5:30 AM ET. Please complete all games before maintenance begins.

February 21, 2023 –Â Server Maintenance is scheduled for 1:00 AM ET tomorrow, Tuesday, February 21st. During this time, all online modes will be offline. Solo Battles will be gated at 12:30 AM ET.

If servers are up and running, follow the steps below to check your internet connection on PS4,PS5 and Xbox. Be sure to allow any updates to install completely before you begin.

- Select theSettings menu. now select System Software Update.
- Install any available updates. Follow the onscreen steps to complete the update.
Checking for updates on Xbox One
- Press the Home button to open the dashboard menu.
- SelectSettingsfrom the bottom of the menu, then selectAll Settings. Now selectSystem, then selectUpdates.
- SelectUpdate Console if the option becomes available. Follow the onscreen steps to complete the update.
