Lies of P update 1.002 (version 1.002.000) is available to download on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Accroding to the official Lies of P patch notes, the update brings significant balance changes. Additionally, Lies of P patch 1.002 also introduces system changes related to character progression resets, new features for controller support, and bug fixes.

Balance Changes in Field Monsters
Field Monster HP Adjustments
- Decreased HP for Select Field Monsters: To make encounters more engaging and challenging, the HP of certain field monsters has been decreased. This change aims to encourage players to strategize and adapt to new combat dynamics.
- Increased Stagger Chance and Frequency: Players will now have an increased chance to break the stance of some monsters, making battles more dynamic and less predictable. The frequency of stagger has also been enhanced, keeping players on their toes.
- Extended Staggerable Window: The window for staggering monsters has been extended. This provides players with a greater opportunity to exploit enemy weaknesses, adding depth to combat tactics.
- Dimensional Butterflies: All three types of Dimensional Butterflies will now have reduced HP. This change ensures a smoother progression in the game and aligns with the overall balancing goals.
Rewards Rework
- Adjusted Monster Rewards: The rewards for defeating certain monsters have been adjusted. This includes an increased drop rate for Moonstone-type items, offering players more valuable loot. Conversely, the drop rate of Star Fragments has been decreased to maintain game balance.
- Ergo Item Bonanza: Ergo items are now more accessible with an increased drop rate. Additionally, specific monsters appearing after Lorenzini Arcade will yield greater Ergo rewards, enticing players to explore further.
Boss Monster Modifications
- Boss HP Reduction: Several boss monsters have seen a reduction in their HP pools. This change aims to streamline boss battles and make them more approachable for players.
- Simon Manus Adjustments: ‘Simon Manus, Arm of God’ and ‘Simon Manus, Awakened God’ have received adjustments. The damage dealt by ‘Simon Manus, Awakened God’ has been decreased, while the chance to break its stance has been increased, adding a new layer of strategy to this formidable encounter.
- Specter Upgrade: The Specter, a formidable adversary, has seen an increase in both HP and damage. Players will need to be at their best to conquer this challenging foe.
Character Progression Reset
- Character Reset Feature: A new feature has been introduced, allowing players to reset their character’s level, P-Organ, and Legion Arms at the ‘Gold Coin Tree.’ This adds versatility to character progression and allows for more personalized gameplay experiences.
- Enhanced New Character Rewards: Characters created after this patch will receive 8 Gold Coin Fruits instead of 5 for their first harvest. This sweetens the deal for newcomers.
- Gold Coin Requirement Adjustments: The amount of gold coins required for resetting character attributes has been adjusted, ensuring a balanced progression system.
Additional Gameplay Improvements
- Increased Carrying Capacity: Players can now carry more weight for each point spent on Capacity, providing greater flexibility in inventory management.
- Lighter Amulets: The weight of Amulets purchasable with Boss Ergo has been decreased. This change facilitates a more varied equipment loadout.
- Fable Arts Enhancement: Players using Fable Arts that consume three or more slots will find it easier to land attacks. ‘Guard Parry’ Fable Art will now break the monster’s stance when successfully executed, rewarding skilled gameplay.
New Features and Bug Fixes
- Controller Support: Good news for PC gamers! The update now supports DUALSHOCK®4 & DualSense™ controllers on Windows OS devices, enhancing the gaming experience.
- Bug Squashing: Several bugs have been addressed, including issues with Legion Arms functionality, controller settings, and graphical glitches. The game is now smoother and more enjoyable.
Known Issues and Solutions
- PS4 Controller Settings: Players using PS4 controllers in Asian regions may encounter controller settings resetting. A solution has been provided to enable the [Use X button for Enter] option, ensuring stable controller settings.
