In Lego Fortnite, the Glider is an important transportation item that lets players swiftly traverse the map and avoid fall damage. However, many players have recently reported issues with crafting the Glider due to bugs with the Loom and Spinning Wheel structures.
This article will explain why these structures are suddenly not working and provide a simple fix so you can craft your Glider again.
What is the Glider in Lego Fortnite?
The Glider first appeared in the main Fortnite battle royale mode before being added to the Lego sandbox survival version. It’s a hang glider with red and brown shades that helps players glide through the air over long distances.
In Lego Fortnite’s mid-game, the Glider becomes available to craft at a rare Crafting Bench once you’ve explored multiple biomes and gathered the right ingredients. It takes:
- 🏖️ 3 Sand Shells
- 🦀 6 Sand Claws
- 🌿 12 Knotroot Rods
- 🪨 15 Marble Slabs
Plus these crafting materials:
- 🪵 8 Flex Wood Rods
- 🧵 4 Wool Fabrics
- 🧺 4 Silk Fabrics
Why is my Spinning Wheel and Loom not working in Lego Fortnite?
To make the Wool and Silk Fabrics needed for the Glider, players first need to build two special structures:
👉 The Spinning Wheel converts Wool into Wool Thread.
👉 The Loom turns the Wool Thread into Wool Fabric.
However, many Lego Fortnite players have run into a frustrating bug where the Spinning Wheel and Loom stop functioning correctly.
When they try to process ingredients through these structures, nothing happens. No Wool Thread or Fabric is produced.
As a result, they can’t gather the materials to then craft their Glider at the Crafting Bench.

How to Fix the Spinning Wheel and Loom in Lego Fortnite
Luckily there’s an easy fix for this glitch that will get your structures working again fast.
Simply break down your Spinning Wheel and Loom completely. Then, rebuild them in the same location using the same crafting recipe you originally used.
Once reconstructed, deposit the same ingredients like Wool to test them out. The structures should now correctly process the items again.
So if your Spinning Wheel fails to make Wool Thread:
🔨 Smash it down and reconstruct it.
🐑 Try adding Wool again.
The same goes if your Loom won’t craft Wool Fabric using Wool Thread:
🗜️ Break the Loom apart and rebuild
🧵 See if it can process Wool Thread properly again
This rebuild trick essentially refreshes the structures, fixing any glitches. So they’ll work like normal to produce the materials you need for glider fabrics.
But for most users, simply rebuilding will get those structures back up and running!
