Insurgency Sandstorm Update 1.17 Patch Notes – October 23, 2023
Unleashing Firepower: M320 and M79 Grenade Launchers
In this new update, M320 and M79 grenade launchers make their grand entry. For Security, the M320 delivers devastating blows, while the M79 paves the way for Insurgents.
Both launchers have six rounds of 40x46mm explosive shells. Let’s just say, these new toys are the definition of crowd control.
Dress to Impress: The Onslaught Set Bundle
DLCs add flavor to any game, and the Onslaught Set Bundle is no exception. For Security, the Mountain Tactical Set has you covered from head to toe.
The Digital Splatter Weapon Skin Set is also exclusive to the Security faction. Insurgents, on the other hand, get the rugged yet sleek Mountain Nomad Set.
Additionally, the Woodburn Weapon Skin Set gives an elegant touch to the arsenal of Insurgents.
Patch it Up: Cosmetic Patch System
Your soldier, your style. That’s the ethos behind the new cosmetic patch system. Choose from 70 options to create a soldier that resonates with your personality. Whether you’re with Security or the Insurgents, flaunt your allegiance or just look cool doing it.
Every Player for Themselves: Free For All Game Mode
Show off your skills in the new Free For All game mode. No teammates to rely on, just your own skill against the world. If you’re looking to test your mettle, this mode is your arena.
Game Mode info:
- Kill enemies to get points. The player with the highest number of points at the end of a round wins.
- Player is assigned a ‘solo’ faction instead of Security or Insurgents.
- Respawns happen individually for each player shortly after they die.
- Available classes are:
- Assault
- Breacher
- Advisor
- Gunner
- Marksman
- Spectators are not allowed.
Game Layouts: A New Terrain to Conquer
Fourteen new layouts across five game modes including Defusal, Free For All, and Frontline. Each layout offers a unique experience and challenge. There’s never been a better time to get a lay of the land.
