Indiana Jones and the Great Circle update 3 is now available to download on PC and Xbox. According to the official Indiana Jones and the Great Circle patch notes, the latest update 4 brings new adventure books enhancing combat options, quality-of-life improvements like HUD adjustments and new tutorials, enhanced controller support, and improved visuals via Ray-traced Global Illumination. In addition, Indiana Jones patch 4 also addresses gameplay across multiple levels like Gizeh, Vatican, and Sukhothai.

NEW FEATURES
New Adventure Books
Players can learn a lot from reading, and in Update 4, two new Adventure Books have been added, giving Indy whip-tastic options in combat!
- With the “Open Season” Adventure Book, hitting an opponent with the whip temporarily causes them to take more damage from subsequent attacks.
- “Sleight of Hand” lets Indy pull an enemy’s weapon toward him after disarming them with the whip.
Quality of Life Features
Based on community feedback, tons of new options and features have been added:
- Players can disable the center dot on the HUD (though leaving it enabled is recommended for those prone to motion sickness).
- An “Always Allow Skipping Cutscenes” option has been added, letting players skip cutscenes even if they haven’t watched them.
- The “Stealth Vignette” around the HUD edge can now be disabled while crouched in stealth.
- Players can cycle between local maps and level maps when viewing the journal in “lowered” mode.
- Slightly more of the map is now visible while the journal is in “lowered” mode.
- Repair Kits can now be thrown at enemies.
- A timer has been added to the combat HUD around Indy’s health, indicating how long alerted enemies will search.
- The PC version now supports the PlayStation DualSense Wireless Controller for advanced haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
- PlayStation and Steam Deck controllers now appear correctly in the PC controller configuration menu.
- A key can now be bound to toggle High Contrast Mode on PC.
New Tutorials
- Tutorials now explain how to unlock/activate Adventure Books after collecting them.
- Tutorials now guide players on purchasing Health or Stamina upgrades after collecting multiple medicine bottles.
- A tutorial on blowing away scorpions at the end of the Gizeh level has been added.
Other Improvements
- The menu for purchasing Adventure Books and map booklets has been improved for clearer unlock costs and categorization.
- New Indy fight one-liners have been recorded for added variety.
- Ray-traced Global Illumination and contact shadows have been improved on all platforms at no performance cost.

General
- Addressed a bug where Indy’s transition from ledge hanging into whip swing appeared unsmooth.
- Fixed an issue where some medicine bottles could not be picked up in specific circumstances.
- Addressed a bug causing dogs’ legs to move unnaturally when turning while walking.
- Fixed an issue where throwing defeated soldiers over ledges was overly difficult.
- Fixed an issue where Gina used standing conversation animations while crouching.
- Addressed a bug causing merchant items to disappear if triggering a cutscene immediately after interacting with them.
- Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in third-person camera after using a zipline while inspecting an item.
- Fixed an issue allowing players to loot multiple items from downed enemies by spamming the interact button.
- Addressed a bug causing the “Parry” tutorial to disappear too quickly.
- Fixed an issue where whipping near enemies in disguise was not consistently treated as an offensive action.

- Addressed a bug where the Cat Mummy photograph interaction marker was not visible from a distance.

- Fixed an issue where Giuseppe’s marker could disappear if he left Section F.
- Addressed a bug preventing the “Bulls of Blood” secret door from opening upon revisiting Castel Sant Angelo.
- Fixed an issue where priests could appear behind a sealed demon door in the Tower of Nicholas V.
- Addressed a bug allowing speedrunners to bypass the Silver Path Trial gate and become stuck.
- Fixed an issue causing death loops in the Silver Path Trial flames.
- Addressed a bug where Gina would not exit Silver Path Trial rooms if players lingered on whip-swing beams.

Recently, the Indiana Jones update 1 released with the full Ray Tracing (Path Tracing) support. Unfortunately, players have been experiencing several issues. Today’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle version 3 will fix a few of these issues.
