Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Update 2 Patch Notes – Dec. 17, 2024

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle update 2 is now available to download on PC and Xbox. According to the official Indiana Jones and the Great Circle patch notes, the latest update addresses game slot errors, fixes equipment and graphical bugs. In addition, Indiana Jones patch 2 also resolves mission blockers, and improves PC and Xbox performance with key rendering and illumination fixes.

Recently, the Indiana Jones update 1 released with the full Ray Tracing (Path Tracing) support. Unfortunately, players have been experiencing several issues. Today’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle version will fix a few of these issues.

Indiana Jones Patch 2 Notes

General

  • Fixed an issue where game slots may appear damaged or missing without an actual problem.

Gameplay

  • Resolved an issue preventing players from equipping Indy’s whip.
  • Fixed an issue causing Indy’s camera to remain permanently equipped.
  • Addressed a bug where players could lose their camera when quick-equipping it while inspecting another nearby item.

Graphics

  • Fixed an issue where “double vision” would persist after near-drowning; repeating the near-drown will now clear this for affected players.
  • Reduced stutter caused by duplicated frames during cutscenes.

Missions and Quests

  • Fixed an issue where Gina wouldn’t approach the secret entrance to the Vatican Treasure Chamber, blocking mission progression.
  • Resolved an issue where Gina could prematurely pick the exit lock in the Vatican Treasure Chamber, skipping critical story developments.
  • Fixed a collision bug allowing players to fall through the floor near the Ziggurat wall in Sukhothai.

PC-Specific Fixes

  • Fixed performance issues caused by Nvidia DLSS when enabled.
  • Resolved a bug where Nvidia Frame Generation wouldn’t activate properly with HDR.
  • Addressed performance issues with Nvidia Low Latency Mode when used alongside Frame Generation.
  • Fixed an issue where global illumination could be disabled on systems with below-minimum VRAM.
  • Resolved over-bright lighting in interior spaces when using Path Tracing at Medium or High Quality.
  • Known Issue: Nvidia Frame Generation may temporarily disable when HDR is first activated. To resolve, disable and re-enable DLSS (only required once).

Xbox-Specific Fixes

  • Improved global illumination to correct overly bright shadowed areas.
