Hunt Showdown Update 1.99 Patch Notes (v1.16)

Hunt Showdown update 1.99 (v1.15) is available on PS4, PC and Xbox One. According to the official Hunt Showdown 1.99 patch notes, the latest update adds new weapons and variants, adjustments to existing weapons and gameplay mechanics, changes to progression systems, and various fixes and improvements across different aspects of the game. Apart from this, today’s Hunt Showdown patch 1.99 (v1.16) also includes gameplay performance improvements.

Previously, a major Hunt Showdown update 1.13 added the event “Tide of Shadows” and fixes for the Shooting Range, Pacts and Traits, and equipment pricing. Unfortunately, players are still facing bugs and issues with the game. Today’s Hunt Showdown version 1.96 will fix a few of these issues.

Hunt Showdown 1.99 Patch Notes (v1.16) – March 6, 2024

New Equipment:

  • Caldwell Marathon:
    • A fast-firing pump-action rifle optimized for mid-range engagements. Features a clunky reload, reducing flexibility.
    • Basic: Compact Ammo – 15+1/24
    • Full Metal Jacket: Compact Ammo – 15+1/24
    • Poison: Poison Ammo – 15+1/24
    • Developer’s Note: Introducing a new compact ammo rifle family as competition to the trusted Winfield M1873 series.
  • Caldwell Marathon Swift:
    • Variant of the Caldwell Marathon with a speed loader mechanism for quicker reloads.
    • Basic: Compact Ammo – 15+1/24
    • Full Metal Jacket: Compact Ammo – 15+1/24
    • Poison: Poison Ammo – 15+1/24
  • Mako 1895 Carbine:
    • Long-range lever-action rifle delivering a powerful punch, compatible with the Levering Trait.
    • Basic: Long Ammo – 6+1/8
    • Explosive: Long Ammo – 6+1/8
    • Full Metal Jacket: Long Ammo – 6+1/8
    • Developer’s Note: Introducing the first long ammo lever-action weapon.
  • Mako 1895 Carbine Aperture:
    • Variant of the Mako 1895 Carbine featuring a toggle-able Aperture sight for higher precision at medium range.
    • Basic: Long Ammo – 6+1/8
    • Explosive: Long Ammo – 6+1/8
    • Full Metal Jacket: Long Ammo – 6+1/8
  • Mako 1895 Carbine Claw:
    • Variant of the Mako 1895 Carbine equipped with a robust hooked blade, making it both a melee and ranged weapon.
    • Basic: Long Ammo – 6+1/8
    • Explosive: Long Ammo – 6+1/8
    • Full Metal Jacket: Long Ammo – 6+1/8

New Custom Ammo:

  • Caldwell Rival 78 Dragon Breath
  • Crown & King Auto-5 Flechette

Times of Day Adjustments:

  • Thundershower: Heavy Rain duration decreased to 120s from 240s.
  • Ash Bloom: Light Phase duration will now be more common.

Gunplay:

  • Increased splash damage from Explosive Ammo against AI and Targets.
  • Extended headshot range on Explosive Ammo.
  • Adjusted ranges for specific weapons:
    • Springfield 1866 Explosive Ammo increased to 175m from 94m.
    • Martini-Henry IC1 Explosive Ammo increased to 309m from 287m.
    • Caldwell Conversion Uppercut Explosive Ammo increased to 83m from 35m.
  • Slightly reduced recoil of the Vetterli Cyclone and decreased reload time.
  • Increased damage of the LeMat Mark II UpperMat to 126 from 120.
  • Changed Combat Axe, Katana, and Railroad Hammer slot size to Small Slot.
  • Slightly increased Dumdum Ammo damage against Boss Targets.
  • Aperture sights now retain position after being revived.

Gameplay:

  • Added inspect animations for all Consumables and non-melee Tools.
  • Increased view distance in Beetle View.
  • Enhanced headshot damage on Grunts, Hives, and Hellhounds.
  • Increased Long Ammo damage on Grunts.
  • Reduced melee Tools damage against Boss Targets.
  • Added Consumables to the Toolbox:
    • Big Dynamite Bundle
    • Hellfire Bomb
    • Vitality Shot (Weak)
  • Decreased chance to receive a Frag Bomb.
  • Increased Ammo Resupply for Starshell and Penny Shot Ammo.
  • Lightfoot now triggers quiet crouch audio when walking across noise traps.
  • Increased stamina consumption for the Knuckle Knife.
  • Decreased spawn rate of world-spawned melee Weapons around Boss Target Lairs.
  • Decreased duration of Antidote Shot and Antidote Shot (Weak).
  • Antidote Shot now lasts 10 minutes, down from 20 minutes.
  • Antidote Shot (Weak) now lasts 5 minutes, down from 10 minutes.
  • Increased time to revive dead teammates to 10s from 4s.
  • Changed reviving dead teammates to deal 50 damage over the course of the revive.

Meta:

  • Refunding Traits now grants a minimum of 1 Upgrade Point.
  • Reduced some Hunt Dollar rewards tied to Bloodline Rank Progression.
  • Adjusted unlock Rank of Kiteskin and Hundred Hands.
  • Limited free Recruit availability when Hunt Dollar account balance drops below 20,000 Hunt Dollars.
  • Removed unlimited Recruitment reshuffle when below 20,000 Hunt Dollars.
  • Reduced availability of certain high-end Weapons for Free and low-Tier Recruits.
  • Adjusted number of Traits for each Recruit Tier.
  • Reduced selection rate of some high value Traits for Recruits.
  • Increased minimum combined Upgrade Point value of Traits for Legendary Hunters.
  • Hunters can now only be retired at Level 50, granting reduced Bloodline XP.

Traits:

  • Added two new Burn Traits: Rampage and Remedy.

Audio:

  • Adjusted volume of Ash Bloom for less intrusion.
  • Increased Thundershower audio volume when inside buildings.
  • Improved footstep audio consistency on uneven surfaces.

World:

  • Kingsnake Mine: Placed barrels at a horse cart to allow access onto the side building’s balcony.

Gunplay Adjustments:

  • Increased splash damage from Explosive Ammo against AI and Targets.
  • Expanded headshot range on Explosive Ammo.
  • Springfield 1866 Explosive Ammo range increased to 175m from 94m.

World Fixes:

  • Adjusted various locations to prevent players from getting stuck.
  • Fixed Traits occasionally being uninteractable on Workbenches.
