Hunt Showdown Update 1.85 Patch Notes (v1.13)

Hunt Showdown update 1.85 (v1.13) is available on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official Hunt Showdown 1.85 patch notes, the latest update adds the event “Tide of Shadows”. The new event offers players new challenges, rewards, and gameplay, including the opportunity to battle the unique alligator boss, Rotjaw. Apart from this, today’s Hunt Showdown patch 1.85 also includes fixes for the Shooting Range, Pacts and Traits, and equipment pricing.

Previously, a major Hunt Showdown update 1.9 added a long list of gameplay changes and fixes. Unfortunately, players are still facing bugs and issues with the game. Today’s Hunt Showdown version 1.85 will fix a few of these issues.

Hunt Showdown 1.85 Patch Notes (Update 1.13) – June 29, 2023

Event Details

  • The Tide of Shadows Live Event is currently running from June 28th to August 23rd.
  • Players can participate in new challenges, unlock rewards, and experience exciting gameplay.

Introducing Three New Pacts

  • The event introduces three new Pacts: Primal Pact, Smugglers Pact, and Grounded Pact.
  • Each Pact offers unique Traits and lore, providing players with new ways to play.

Legendary Weapons and Equipment

  • Players have the opportunity to acquire Legendary Weapons and equipment during the event.

Battling Rotjaw, the Wild Target

  • Rotjaw, a distinctive female alligator, is a unique Boss Target found in open water territories.
  • Defeating Rotjaw rewards players with a Bounty Token.

Pacts and Traits

  • Each Pact comes with a set of unique Traits that unlock new gameplay options.
  • Hunters must pledge themselves to a Pact and earn Pledge Marks to unlock Traits.
  • Trait Charms are available at Pledge Posts, and players can exchange Pledge Marks for Event Traits.
  • Burn Traits, a new category of single-use Traits, can be acquired multiple times.
  • Primal Pact, Smugglers Pact, and Grounded Pact offer different sets of Traits.

Event Points

  • Event Points drive player progress and allow for the acquisition of rewards.
  • Players earn Event Points by performing various actions such as interacting with Event Clues or Rifts, banishing Targets, and extracting Bounty Tokens.
  • Ship Altars, new event objects, provide Event Points when interacted with or destroyed.

Ship Altars

  • Ship Altars spawn in different locations and offer Event Points upon interaction.
  • Destroying Ship Altars yields fewer points but causes damage and bleeding to nearby Hunters.

New Changes

Shooting Range

  • A new area where players can test their loadouts and improve their gunplay skills.
  • Different sections cater to short, medium, and long-range shooting, throwable testing, and projectile penetration testing.

Target Dummies

  • Custom dummies representing actual Hunters, featuring 150 Health Points and status effects.
  • The dummies reset after 3 seconds when downed and are visible in Dark Sight.

Ping Range Indicator

  • Players can utilize the ping function in the Shooting Range to measure distances accurately.
  • Range indicators display the distance between the player’s position and the ping marker’s location.
  • Range indicators are also visible for teammates’ ping markers.

Custom Respawn Options

  • When downed in the Shooting Range, players have two options for revival:
    1. Reviving in place with full health.
    2. Respawning in a safe nearby location with full health and replenished inventory.

Multiplayer Options

  • The Shooting Range allows players to join with a group of up to 3 players.

Ammo Crates

  • Fixed amounts of ammunition per type are now available when resupplying from regular and special ammo crates.
  • Increased amounts of ammo received from Ammo Boxes.

Dual Wield Ammo Reduction

  • To balance gameplay, the extra ammunition carried when dual wielding handguns has been reduced by half.

Equipment Pricing

  • Adjustments made to the prices of certain items, including Bomb Lance Custom Ammo and Martini-Henry IC1 variants.
  • Increased prices for Incendiary ammo and High Velocity ammo.

Mission Summary Accolades

  • Grading requirements and rewards for different accolades have been adjusted.
  • Accolades include completing contracts, unlocking book mastery, acquiring upgrade points, AI kills, player kills, extracted money, and closed Rifts in Soul Survivor.

New Legendary Content

  • Introduction of new legendary weapons and items, such as Caldwell 92 New Army – Deputy and Martini-Henry IC1 Ironside – Heaven’s Key.

Black Market Content Update

  • Refreshed contents of all three Black Market Contractors.

Restoration – Additional Banish and Wellspring Feedback

  • UI and audio cues added to highlight the special nature of the Restoration effect triggered by Banish and Wellspring.

Update 1.13 Bug Fixes

  • Various fixes for issues with weapon movement sounds, footstep audio for enemy Hunters above the player, pick-up sounds for Sledgehammer and Shovel, and glitching Grunts.
  • Fixes for Boss Targets hitting through walls, incorrect target selection by Grunts, Immolators, and Armoreds, and missing Trait drops from Meatheads in Scripted Tutorials.
  • Corrections to combat log entries, incorrect damage type icons, and display issues on the death screen, Mission Summary screen, and Equipment screen.
  • Addressed visual issues, overlapping text problems, and tooltips for items, as well as world-related issues like placement adjustments and fixing collisions, floating vegetation, and unbreakable windows.
  • Resolved problems with vaulting, stuck spots, misaligned dressing, weapon animations, ammo pool UI, inventory slots, throwing knives/axes, and duplicate world items when looting Hunters.
