WB Games Account Linking Errors

Many players jumping into Hogwarts Legacy at launch. This results in account linking issues due to the high demand.

Hogwarts Legacy Launch Error or Won’t start properly

Please make sure that your game files are not damaged. This can be done on PC(Steam), please right-click on the game in your library and then click on properties -> local files -> verify.

If Steam does not update or launch games anymore.
  1. Open Steam parameters (Steam > Parameters).
  2. Select the tab “Downloads”.
  3. Click on the button “Clear download cache”.

Also, disable the Antivirus and run the game.

Workaround: Running Game As Administrator

To run the game as Administrator.

  1. Right-click Forspoken in your Steam Library.
  2. Go to Properties then the Local Files tab.
  3. Click Browse Local Files.
  4. Locate the game executable (the application).
  5. Right-click it and go to Properties.
  6. Click the Compatibility tab.
  7. Check the Run this program as an administrator box.
  8. Click Apply.

Launch issue related to Keyboard RGB settings

If your keyboard supports special RGB settings then these may cause performance issues to occur while launching, loading into, and/or playing the game. To alleviate these issues, you can temporarily disable these special color settings by editing the following configuration file:

  1. Go into C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\ExampleGame
  2. Find Usersettings.ini and open this file in Notepad
  3. Set RGBPeripherals to off and RGBKeyLighting to off
  4. Save Usersettings.ini

Hogwarts Legacy Display in Blue and Green

If the in-game graphics are appearing blue and green for you, this is due to the High Contrast setting being turned on. You can turn the feature off by following these steps:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to the Accessibility Options tab
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page
  4. Turn “High Contrast Gameplay” setting off.

Hogwarts Legacy crash after the startup/launch

  • There is a bug where the game crashes shortly after startup on PC. The fix will be available soon.

Video Memory Crash

Players are reporting Forspoken PC crashes with the warning.

How to change page file size

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard
  2. type sysdm.cpl and press enter.
  3. Go to the Advanced tab and press Settings under the Performance section.
  4. Press the Advanced tab in the Performance Options window.
  5. Under Virtual memory, press Change.
  6. Tick the box for Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.

Hogwarts Legacy PS5 Controller Issue
