HALO MCC April 14 Update Patch Notes – Official

HALO (MCC) Master Chief Collection update patch notes released for PC and Xbox players. According to the official HALO MCC patch notes, the latest update resolves issues related to volume options in Halo: Combat Evolved on Xbox, ‘corrupted’ game and map variants, and the “Eye Spy” Challenge.

Previously, a big update added the latest version of the game engine to the console. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing a number of issues when trying to play the game.

Today’s Halo Master Chief Collection April 14 patch will fix these issues. Check out more details below.

Halo Mcc Patch Notes (Hotfix) – April 14, 2022

  • Changes made to the Game Volume options in the Audio Settings menu are now reflected in Halo: Combat Evolved on Xbox consoles.
  • Halo 3 game and map variants as well as Halo 3: ODST Firefight game variants that appeared as ‘corrupted’ after the previous Halo: Master Chief Collection (MCC) update will now work as expected.
    • This issue sometimes caused the PC version of MCC to crash on the “Press Start” splash screen. These crashes are now resolved. If you removed these files and backed them up to another location as a workaround for this crash, restoring them will no longer result in a crash.
  • The “Eye Spy” challenge will now reflect the correct placement of the Golden Moa collectibles and track progress as expected.
    • This week, Golden Moas will be visible on all Halo 3 campaign missions, so the challenge can be progressed regardless of which missions are listed in its description. When the “Eye Spy” Challenge resets again next Wednesday (April 20, 2022) at 10AM PT, Golden Moas will only be visible on the three missions listed in the challenge description.
