A new Hades 2 update is rolling out on PC. According to the official Hades patch notes, the latest update brings a series of targeted improvements and fixes inspired by community feedback, with a promise of further balance changes and enhancements in the future.
Previously, a major update added a long list of quality of life improvements. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing issues since the last major patch. Today’s Hades patch 1.04 will address a few of these errors.
Hades 2 Patch Notes – May 16, 2024
General Gameplay:
- Sprint speed increased inherently; turning is more responsive. Abilities enhancing sprint adjusted accordingly.
- Improved ability to Dash out of attack recovery animations.
- Gathering now possible from any unlocked resource point. Prioritizing tools in Training Grounds affects resource appearance frequency.
Altar of Ashes:
- Swift Runner now grants immediate Dash alongside faster Sprint speed.
Level Design & Environments:
- Easier Dash across chasms in Oceanus.
- Increased occurrence of Driftwood resources in the Rift of Thessaly.
Menus & UI:
- Well of Charon displays current Gold without checking Boon Info.
- Grasp Upgrade Tutorial in Altar of Ashes repeats if ignored.
- Added Patch Notes option in Main Menu.
Miscellaneous:
- Reduced early encounters with Eris; rewards enhanced if encountered.
- Book of Shadows entries easier to reveal.
- Reduced waiting time after conversing to gift Echo.
- Adjusted Animal Familiar upgrades due to Gathering Tool changes.
- Hades Flashback hints for players unaware they are in control.
- Improved mouse selection and additional controller support.
- Sprint speed boost abilities display more accurate numbers.
Bug Fixes:
- Various fixes for Dark Side (Selene) issues.
- Sun Worshiper (Apollo) no longer prevents new foes from spawning.
- Fire Extinguisher (Hestia) now deals expected damage.
- Sister Blades Omega Attack now reliably hits Chronos.
- Satyr Hoplites can no longer block while afflicted with Twilight Curse (Selene).
- Fixed instances of foes spawning out of bounds.
- Camera no longer gets stuck zooming in vs. Polyphemus.
- Dash no longer goes out of bounds in the Crossroads.
- Fishing Pier events now pass time as intended.
- Autolock and keyboard inputs issues resolved.
- Ultrawide resolution and visual effects issues fixed.
- Melinoë voice line no longer repeats unexpectedly.
- Various rare crashes and text errors fixed.
