God of War Sons of Sparta Version 1.005 Patch Notes (Patch 1.005.000)

Mega Cat Studios has released a new God of War Sons of Sparta patch 1.005 (version 1.005.000) on PS5. According to the official God of War Sons of Sparta version 1.005 patch notes, the latest update fixes save data related issues. Apart from this, God of War Sons of Sparta update 1.005 also includes stability fixes.

Sons of Sparta update 1.005 Patch Notes – February 26, 2026

Save System

• Fixed spamming the save command at campfires which is one of the known causes of a loss of save data
• Implemented save system stability measures to help reduce the occurrence of save loss or
  rollback

⚠️PLEASE NOTE ⚠️ 

If your save slots are empty, DO NOT start a new game. This will override the save data that
may still exist.

Instead, please restart the application. To restart, you need to close it by hovering on the app icon and pressing the Options button, then choosing Close Game. Then re-enter the application normally.

Ally Behavior

• Fixed Deimos occasionally not acting during boss fights
• Fixed Deimos sprite not being present during certain Lexicon cinematics

Quests and Progression

• Fixed an issue where, when using Cine Skip, the Blessing of Nike is not rewarded after
  completing her Temple
• Adjusted interact icon delay on Ponea’s plume
• Adjusted the completion trigger for side quest “The Stolen Map”
• Fixed an issue where Vermilion Globes would not contribute credit toward the “Lands of
  Laconia” side quest
• Adjusted flags for the Barren Steppe to prevent lockout if the hero dies and respawns
  with the deer block on the rightmost pressure plate

Camera

• Fixed camera out of bound issues in several scenes

Controller

• Fixed loss of input when opening the map during the Vermilion Globe sequence
• Fixed being able to fast travel during Sculptor Sparring

Audio

• Rebalanced Spanish VO volume

Save System

• The bug that caused save data to appear missing after spamming the save input at campfires has been fixed.

• Save slots now correctly display stored data regardless of rapid save attempts.

Behavior Update

Improved Save Handling

• Rapid consecutive saves no longer risk triggering false empty save slots.

• Players may save multiple times without requiring delays between attempts.
