God of War Sons of Sparta Update 1.005 Patch Notes (Version 1.005.000)

Mega Cat Studios has released a new God of War Sons of Sparta update 1.005 (version 1.005.000) on PS5. According to the official God of War Sons of Sparta 1.005 patch notes, the latest update strengthens save-system stability. Apart from this, God of War Sons of Sparta patch 1.005 also corrects Deimos behavior, fixes multiple quest-blocking issues, resolves camera and controller bugs, and adjusts Spanish VO volume.

Bug Fixes

Save System

  • Addressed save-data loss caused by repeatedly using the campfire save command.

  • Added stability improvements to reduce save loss and rollback cases.

  • Players with empty save slots are advised to restart the application instead of starting a new game to avoid overwriting existing data.

Ally Behavior

  • Corrected Deimos failing to act during boss encounters.

Quests and Progression

  • Fixed missing Blessing of Nike reward when using Cine Skip.

  • Adjusted interaction timing on Ponea’s plume.

  • Updated completion trigger for “The Stolen Map” side quest.

  • Ensured Vermilion Globes properly count toward “Lands of Laconia.”

  • Adjusted Barren Steppe flags to prevent lockout after respawning with the deer on the rightmost pressure plate.

Camera

  • Resolved multiple out-of-bounds camera issues.

Controller

  • Fixed loss of input when opening the map during the Vermilion Globe sequence.

  • Disabled fast travel during Sculptor Sparring as intended.

Audio

  • Rebalanced Spanish voice-over volume.

Previously, a major GOW Sons of Sparta update 1.004 added quality of life changes and fixes. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players have been facing error codes and stuttering issues. GOW Sons of Sparta update 1.005 patch will fix a few issues in the game.
