God of War Ragnarok update 4 (v4.0) is available to download on PC. According to the official God of War Ragnarok PC patch notes, the latest update addresses texture loading problems, memory leaks, and hardware-specific bugs with NVIDIA and AMD graphics. Apart from this, God of War Ragnarok patch 4 also brings improvements for authentication flow, Steam Deck Offline Mode, and DualSense wireless functionality.
Recently, God of War patch 1.1.1 and update 2 improved surround sound calibration, enhances UI and controller support, and removes the 6GB VRAM block. Unfortunetly, since the release, players have been experiencing several stability issues. Today’s GOW Ragnarok update 4 will address some of these issues.

Crashes
- Fixed: A crash that would sometimes occur when viewing the Skill Tree.
- Fixed: A crash related to the authentication flow when booting the game.
Authentication Flow
- Fixed: Multiple issues with the authentication flow.
- Improved: Provided better communication to the user regarding authentication progress.
Game Textures
- Fixed: An issue where game textures would unload when accessing the menu for a prolonged period.
- Fixed: Textures and models appearing to load in when using fast travel through the Realm Between Realms.
NVIDIA Memory Leak
- Replaced: NVIDIA Streamline to resolve a memory leak issue when switching between different Frame Generation settings.
AMD Fixes
- Fixed: Flickering with AMD FSR-FG when in the pause menu.
- Fixed: Performance and frame pacing issues with AMD FSR-FG.
- Fixed: A minor memory leak occurring when toggling AMD FSR-FG on and off.
Steam Deck Offline Mode
- Fixed: An issue where Steam Input was non-functional in Offline Mode.
DualSense Controller
- Fixed: An issue where the DualSense controller would not work wirelessly.
