Ghost Hunters Corp update (August 18, 2021) is now available to download on PC. According to the official Ghost Hunters Corp patch notes, the latest update brings various new changes, additions, bug fixes, and more. Apart from this, Ghost Hunters Corp patch also includes performance improvements.
Previously, a hotfix was released with various fixes for crashes and more.
Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues since the last major patch. Today’s Ghost Hunters Corp patch will address a few of these errors.

- Fixed a bug that made it possible to read the exorcism book from the Motorhome.
- Increased sprint time before being out of breath.
- Fixed a glitch in the “Barony of Günther” area.
Ghost Hunters Corp Patch Notes – August 18, 2021
The most important addition in this update concerns hunting maps. We’ve been telling you a week ago, but here are three new maps where you can exorcise supernatural entities:
– The Barony of Günther in Germany.
– The cemetery of the last rest in Pennsylvania.
– The Bamboo temple in Japan.
Starting with the difficulty levels. You will now have the choice between four difficulty modes:
– Simple investigation – short : 2 to 3 proofs maximum to find, no “complex” exorcism, a difficulty mainly based on the investigation. Available at level 0.
– Simple investigation – long : 3 to 5 proofs maximum to find, possibility of “complex” exorcism, a difficulty mainly based on the investigation. Available at level 5.
– Extreme Investigation – short : 2 to 3 proofs maximum to find, no “complex” exorcism, without starting equipment but with a bonus of xp / money, a big difficulty with an entity that only wants one thing, incapacitate yourself before you do. Available at level 10.
– Extreme investigation – long : 3 to 5 proofs maximum to find, possibility of “complex” exorcism, without starting equipment but with a bonus of xp / money, a big difficulty with an entity which wants only one thing, incapacitate yourself before you do. Available at level 15.
Then comes the modification of the end-of-mission dashboard, more fluid, with more information to keep you in touch with what you have done well or poorly.
We have readjusted and reactivated the possibility for the entity to get angry and to send in all directions the defense objects (Crucifix and Statue of Mary) if there are three or more within a radius of 5 meters when the entity decides to attack you.
Since the module used for ingame speech recognition requires it, we have changed the use of the exorcism book. From now on, each sentence must be pronounced one after the other, leaving a space between each sentence, the time it is analyzed and validated by the game. You will easily see it with the text which turns gray once a sentence has been validated.
The entity’s AI has also undergone some adjustments ! From now on, at the start of the mission, the entity will wander around the entire area, and will only be able to become aggressive when you have found and approached it. Indeed, at the beginning of the game, the entity doesn’t know that you are there and you will have to meet it so that it decides to show itself afterwards.
The entity will react in a slightly different way as the game progresses : the more you go through the exorcism steps, the more the entity will become unpredictable and hostile.
Finally, when it is subject to the effect of an exorcism object, the entity will teleport randomly to one of the different points provided for it.
Finally, we changed some settings and their visibilities. Other options (graphics, sounds, microphone, etc.) will be added over time.
Regarding fixes and debugging, here is a non-exhaustive list:
– Fixed several issues with desynchronization between players.
– Fixed automatic write sound that would trigger when visually the entity had not written anything.
– Fixed a host / client desynchronization problem related to the Spirit box.
– Fixed a phenomenon that caused orbs in the Haunting Room to float when the exorcism was finished.
– Fixed an issue with the multiplication and desynchronization of camera photos.
– Fixed a bug where a “Ghost” photo is validated when the entity is not in view.
– Fixed a framing issue in the player death animation.
– A problem related to the microphone can occur if you use a virtual sound card software, do not hesitate to go to the Steam forum or to the discord, you will find a simple manipulation allowing its resolution.
– Range of the instant camera increased.
– Slight increase in the detection of the Spirit-box by the entity (from 4 to 8 meters).
– Size of entities increased.
