Generation Zero update 1.51 is available to download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to the official Generation Zero 1.51 patch notes, the latest update enhances stability, refines Base Defense mechanics, improves mission flow, and fixes several weapon-related bugs. Improved crafting, inventory, and performance ensure a smoother gameplay experience. Apart from this, Generation Zero version 1.51 also includes multiplayer improvements.

General Fixes & Stability
- Fixed various crashes and improved overall stability.
- Resolved an issue where some players were not automatically shown new messages.
- Various performance optimizations and environmental clipping fixes.
Gameplay Improvements
Weapons & Combat
- Fixed a bug preventing players from using or seeing the Quality Level 2 N144 Minigun.
- Fixed an issue where instant weapon switching was possible.
- Fixed a problem preventing ammo type changes after aiming down sights.
- Increased drop rates for Experimental Weapon Drops from Rivals.
Base Defense Adjustments
- Economy changes: More resource drops for better sustainability.
- Increased health for Base Defense buildings.
- Companions no longer trigger or take damage from Spiked Wall traps.
Missions & AI Adjustments
- Fixed a potential mission blocker at the radio tower in the Exclusion Zone.
- Adjusted Showdown mission triggers, timing, and breadcrumbing.
- Fixed an issue with the Scout Firebird where explosive payloads now detonate properly.
Multiplayer & UI Fixes
- Field radios now work correctly in multiplayer.
- Player screens will no longer display unsupported/null characters when joining or leaving multiplayer.
- Fixed an issue on Steam where Companion Armor could only be changed using a mouse.
Turrets & AI Behavior
- Portable Homing Turrets no longer target player structures.
- Various animation bug fixes for smoother gameplay.
Previously, a major Generation Zero update 1.37 added a customizable Machine Companion called the Runner to assist players in combat against Machines, with features like weapon selection, repairability, inventory, and customization options. Unfortunately, since the last major update, some players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Generation Zero patch 1.51 will address a few of these issues.
