Fortnite version 2.99 released on PS4, Xbox One and PC. According to the official Fortnite update 2.99 patch notes, the latest update added quality of life improvements. Apart from this, Fortnite patch 2.99 also includes stability improvements.
Previously, Fortnite Season 3 update 15.10 added new features, changes, skins, battle pass, and various bug fixes.
Unfortunately, many players are still experiencing several issues while playing the game online. Today’s Fortnite version 2.99 is expected to fix a few of these issues.

Sound effect audio delay issues are now addressed.
Fixed a bug where Flip Reset Lobby track inadvertently removed from players lockers.
Addressed an issue where Multipoint edge glider deforming midair.
Fixed an issues where Michonne Outfit visual issues with cape Back Blings.
Fixed a crash that can sometimes occur after using the Emote Wheel.
Performance and stability improvements added.

Addressed framerate drop and lag issues.
Other minor under the hood fixes.
Addressed an issue where game freezing when going to the Compete tab on PlayStation/Xbox.
Fixed a bug Sand Tunneling temporarily disabled.
Addressed an issue where Total Bars appearing as 0 in a match.
Fixed a bug Hypernova Outfit appearing as a different Outfit in the Lobby and in-match.
Addressed an issue where rebooted players may see an already completed Bounty.
Addressed an issue where Quest progress not instantly updating in the HUD and Quest Log.
Addressed an issue related to Broken Pickaxe animations.
Fixed voice chat issues on Android.
Fixed a bug where the player loses all movement after jumping through Zero Point.
