Fortnite update 5.10 (v40.41) is available to download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to the official Fortnite 5.10 patch notes, the latest update focuses on setting up the Shattered live event with new story progression and island teasers. Today’s Fortnite version 5.10 also includes stronger Pulse Pistols and Hammer Revolvers, easier-to-hit Recon Bow shots, larger Twin Mag SMG magazines, and reductions to Assault Rifle headshot damage, Overdrive Pulse Rifle magazine size, and Finger Guns damage.

Story and Live Event Updates
- Season narrative progression added to build toward the Shattered live event.
- New story content, map clues, and island changes introduced.
- Additional event assets and teasers added ahead of the June 5 finale.
Battle Royale Balance Changes
- Exotic Recon Bow projectile hitbox increased, making arrows easier to connect.
- Pulse Pistols now keep more damage at longer distances.
- Pulse Pistols reload slightly faster.
- Overdrive Pulse Rifle magazine size slightly reduced.
- Twin Mag SMG magazine size slightly increased.
- Hammer Revolver damage slightly increased.
- Assault Rifle headshot multiplier reduced.
- Finger Guns damage slightly reduced.
Community Day Support
- Backend preparation and event support added for Community Day on May 30.
Gameplay and Stability
- Various gameplay improvements implemented.
- Bug fixes deployed during scheduled maintenance.
- Stability updates and backend enhancements added.
Previously, a major Fortnite update 4.93 (36.00) added quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Unfortunately, players are still facing several issues with the game. Today’s Fortnite version 5.10 will address a few of these issues.
