Fortnite update 4.59 (V34.10) is available to download on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and PC. According to the official Fortnite 4.59 patch notes, the latest update v34.10 improves matchmaking by ensuring full 5v5 lobbies, fixes elim-trading, resolves camera and movement bugs, and addresses multiple visual issues. Today’s Fortnite patch 4.59 also fixes multiple gameplay and UI issues across Fortnite modes, including cosmetic unlocks, plant growth visuals in LEGO Fortnite, and missing UI elements in Rocket Racing and Mobile.

General Fixes
- Batman Comic Book Cape: Fixed animation issues in Performance Mode.
Fortnite x Shohei Ohtani – Battle Royale / Reloaded / OG
- Ranked Cosmetics: Styles now unlock correctly when ranking up.
- Campfires: No longer take damage or get destroyed after being lit.
- Vending Machines: Menu no longer closes after purchase.
Shohei Ohtani Outfits & Accessories
Available in the Shop on March 17, the Shohei Ohtani collection includes:
- Shohei Ohtani Outfit – Features three Styles: Home (white), Away (grey), and LEGO Style.

Shohei Ohtani Cup – March 15
Compete in a Solo Battle Royale tournament for a chance to unlock the Samurai Shohei Outfit early.
- Top players in each region earn the Outfit.
- Play up to 10 matches within a 3-hour time window.
- Earn points based on placement and eliminations.
- Eliminations grant 2 points each.
Match Placement Points
- Victory Royale: 60 points
- 2nd – 50th place: Points decrease incrementally.
Requirements:
- Two-Factor Authentication enabled.
- Account Level 50+ required.
- Cabined Accounts are ineligible.

Shohei Ohtani Quests – March 18
Celebrate Shohei’s historic 50/50 season with baseball-themed Quests in Week 4:
- Finish 3 matches in the Top 17.
- Eliminate 3 players from beyond 50 meters.
- Throw 17 items.
- Deal 54 damage with The Kneecapper.
- Slide continuously for 59 units of distance.
Complete Quests to earn XP and progress in the Battle Pass.

Soccer Arrives!
- Play soccer at the new field across from Bobom Milk Tea.

React to Homes
- Leave reactions on homes via mailboxes.

Matchmaking & Gameplay Updates
- Matches will only begin when both teams are full (5v5) to prevent uneven starts. If the lobby doesn’t fill, all players will be sent back to matchmaking.
- Improved server/client data exchange to prevent elim-trading, ensuring players can’t eliminate each other at the same time.

Camera & Movement Fixes
- Fixed an issue where players could lose camera control unexpectedly.
- Resolved a bug where sliding visual and sound effects would persist after sliding.
- Polished left and right movement animations for smoother transitions.
Weapon & Visual Fixes
- Fixed an issue where weapons with optics appeared higher than those without.
- Resolved a bug where light reflections on weapons were incorrect when rounding corners.
- Fixed a visual bug where eliminated players showed full HP in the spectator player bar.

- Fixed a flashbang-related visual issue on mobile devices.
- Addressed a visual inconsistency with weapon recoil.

Upcoming in April – Ballistic Early Access Update
- New Maps: Two “shell” maps with fully designed layouts but minimal environmental details to allow for faster updates based on player feedback.
- New Weapons & Gadgets: Additional equipment will be introduced in April.
- Map Iteration: Continuous improvements to Skyline 10 based on player feedback.
Previously, a major Fortnite update 4.13 added quality-of-life improvements and fixes. Unfortunately, players are still facing several issues with the game. Today’s Fortnite version 4.59 will address a few of these issues.
