Fortnite update 4.42 (Version 1.000.152) is available to download on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and PC. According to the official Fortnite 4.42 patch notes, the latest update fixes editing structures near knocked players in Battle Royale and address multiple HUD and item display issues in LEGO Fortnite. Today’s Fortnite patch 4.42 also includes stability fixes.

Bug Fixes
Battle Royale
- Editing Structures: Players will be able to edit structures even when a knocked (DBNO) player is nearby.
LEGO Fortnite
- Item Icons: Placeholder icons will be replaced with correct item icons.
- Fruit Harvesting: Fruit can be successfully harvested from Fruit Trees.
- Codex Unlocks: All animals will properly unlock in the Codex.
- HUD Display: Bottom of HUD will remain visible after using macrobinoculars.

- Nintendo Switch Storage: Players on Nintendo Switch may encounter storage space issues.
- Amazon Luna Lobby Videos: Videos in the Lobby autoplay with every launch on Amazon Luna.
- Emote Wheel: Players cannot close the emote wheel without selecting an emote.
- Creative Built-In Emotes: Built-in emotes do not play correctly in Creative and UEFN experiences.
- Splitscreen Log-Out: Split-screen mode encounters issues when player 2 logs out.
- Jam Emotes in Team Rumble: Jam emotes may not function properly in Team Rumble or in Battle Royale after a Team Rumble match.
- Jam Tracks Volume: Volume for Jam Tracks does not adjust with the Music Volume setting.

- Consumable Buff Timers: Buff timers from consumables may reset when using another consumable with a buff.
- Villager Behavior: Villagers accompanying players may destroy structures while trying to harvest.
- Swag Shot Emote: Swag Shot emote does not display correctly on the Chalk Board.
- Furniture Placement: Some furniture lacks directional indicators during placement.

- Vehicle Blur: Vehicles appear blurry at the start of a race.
