Fortnite update 29.40 is available to download on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. According to the official Fortnite 29.40 patch notes, the latest update update brings a LEGO Fortnite and Star Wars crossover event, where players aid the Rebel Alliance against the Empire on a new island. New items, Quests, and rewards are available, including the LEGO Pass: Rebel Adventure. Additionally, today’s Fortnite patch 29.40 also adds various Outfits as well as several improvements and bug fixes.
Previously, a major Fortnite update 29.00 added new features, new LTM modes, new changes, and much more. Unfortunately, players are still facing several issues with the game. Today’s Fortnite patch 29.40 will address a few of these issues.

Fortnite 29.40 Patch Notes – May 3, 2024
Fortnite Battle Royale
- Chewbacca can be rescued from Imperial Roadblocks, then follows the player with his Bowcaster
- Players can acquire the Wookiee Bowcaster and Darth Vader’s Lightsaber
- E-11 Blasters can be obtained from Stormtroopers or Imperial Chests
- Star Wars Quests reward the AWR Pack Back Bling and Battle Pass Level Ups
Fortnite Festival
- A Mos Eisley Cantina-inspired area is added to the Jam Stage
- The Seven-string Hallikset Guitar is unlockable through Star Wars Quests
- Quests also provide a Battle Pass Level Up
Rocket Racing
- Star Wars Quests unlock the Energy Binders Trail and Battle Pass Level Up
- May the Fourth Quests grant Anakin’s Podracer and Darth Maul Decals
Item Shop Additions
- New Outfits: Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian, and AWR Trooper (with LEGO Styles)
- Returning Outfits: Boba Fett, Han Solo, Kylo Ren, and more
- Beskar Car Body and Bundle with Mandalorian-themed Car items
- “Cantina Band” Jam Track, Endorian Drum Kit, and Nalargon Keytar
LEGO Fortnite | Star Wars Update (v29.40)
- The v29.40 update, releasing on May 3, brings a LEGO Fortnite and Star Wars crossover event
- The Galactic Empire and Rebellion will rift into the LEGO Fortnite world on a new island.
Helping the Rebel Alliance
- Players can aid the Rebels by building up the Rebel Village on the new “Star Wars Island”
- Completing objectives like supplying resources and constructing buildings will level up the Village to Level 10
- The Rebel Village will remain even after the v29.40 update ends
Empire Crash Site
- The Empire’s crashed Star Destroyer leads to Imperial camps surrounding the crash site
- Players can choose to infiltrate the camps or leave them intact
- The crash site and any undestroyed camps will remain after the update
New Star Wars Items
- Lightsabers can be unlocked by aiding the Rebel Village
- The Bowcaster, DL-44 Blaster, E-11 Blaster, Thermal Detonator, and Rebel Workbench can be crafted at a Rebel Workbench
- These items will remain usable even after v29.40
LEGO Pass: Rebel Adventure
- Assisting the Rebels provides progress in the Rebel Adventure pass with free and premium reward tracks
- The pass offers various in-game rewards like Decor Bundles and Builds
- Unlocking the Premium track instantly grants the Chewbacca Outfit
- The Rebel Adventure pass lasts until July 23, 2024
New LEGO Character Styles
- Many Outfits, including several Star Wars ones, are receiving new LEGO Styles
Improvements and Bug Fixes
- LEGO Fortnite Quests can now be viewed without returning to the Lobby
- Exiting flipped vehicles is easier
- Fixes for occasional missing Villager gifts and a rare bed exiting crash
