Fortnite Update 27.00 Patch Notes (Chapter 4)

Fortnite update 27.00 is rolling out on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. According to the official Fortnite 27.00 patch notes, the new Battle Royale Chapter 4 revisits past seasons and unvaults classic items, vehicles, and locations. Additionally, today’s Fortnite patch 27.00 also introduces the OG Pass, new ranked play enhancements, and exclusive time-limited content.

Previously, a major Fortnite update 23.30 added new features, new LTM modes, new changes, and much more. Unfortunately, players are still facing several issues with the game. Today’s Fortnite patch 27.00 will address a few of these issues.

Nostalgia-Focused Event Launch: Fortnite has launched “Fortnite OG,” allowing players to experience the game as it was during its early seasons, starting with Chapter 1 Season 5.
Progressive Content Unvaulting: Throughout the event, major updates will progressively unvault items, weapons, and vehicles from the game’s history, some of which will remain for the duration of the event.
- Season 5 Nostalgia: The V27.00 update brings back Tilted Towers, Greasy Grove, Risky Reels, and introduces vehicles like the Shopping Cart and ATKs. Weapons such as the Assault Rifle, Pump Shotgun, and Hunting Rifle are also unvaulted.
- Season 6 Update: The Nov 9 hotfix will feature Season 6 items, including the Quadcrasher and Mounted Turret, plus weapons like the Double Barrel Shotgun and Six Shooter.
- Season 7 & 8 Elements: With the Nov 16 hotfix, elements from Seasons 7 and 8 will be added, such as the Flint-Knock Pistol, Minigun, Quad Launcher, and X-4 Stormwing.
- Season 9 & X Attractions: The Nov 23 hotfix will reintroduce items from Seasons 9 and X, including the Heavy Sniper Rifle, Proximity Grenade Launcher, and vehicles like The Baller.
The OG Pass: An all-new OG Pass is available for 950 V-Bucks, allowing players to unlock over 50 in-game items within four weeks, and includes up to 1,000 V-Bucks of earnable currency. Fortnite Crew subscribers receive the OG Pass as part of their subscription.
OG Shop: The Item Shop offers a curated selection of classic, mashup, and fresh items available for a limited time with new selections daily.
Chapter 4 Season OG Ranked: The season resets everyone’s rank for a fresh competitive start, with rank revealed after one match, which is not based on the match’s performance. Matchmaking improvements are being tested for higher-ranked players.
Faster Rank Progression: The short season allows for faster rank progression, with less penalty for early eliminations and quicker rank bar increases, especially for players in Bronze ranks.
Ranked Rewards: Players can unlock the Chapter 1-inspired Ranker’s Tags Back Bling by completing Ranked Urgent Quests.
Competitive Updates: Details on competitive offerings, including Ranked Cups, are available, with specific Fortnite OG features excluded from tournaments for balance.
Content Creation Support: A new Lobby Track by Metro Boomin is free for players, and content creators can monetize related content on YouTube for a limited time without takedown notices, provided they follow certain guidelines.
