According to the official Fortnite 26.30 patch notes, the latest update brings new collaborations in Fornitemares 2023 featuring Alan Wake, Jack Skellington, and Michael Myers. Additionally, today’s Fortnite patch 26.30 also includes various bug fixes and changes.

Wood Stake Shotgun: A Vampire Hunter’s Best Friend 🦇
To combat the looming threat of Kado Thorne, players can now wield the Wood Stake Shotgun. This specialized firearm can be found in various locations, including regular and Rare Chests, as well as Holo-Chests. Your mission? Defeat Thorne at Eclipse Estate, and the Wood Stake Shotgun will be your trusty ally.
Thorne’s Vampiric Blade: A Mythic Weapon of Intrigue 🗡️
Defeating Thorne won’t just be a simple task. Once vanquished, Thorne drops a Mythic blade known as the Vampiric Blade. This unique weapon offers a sinister twist, granting health regeneration when dealing damage to foes. It’s a weapon with a vampiric appetite!
Pumpkin Launcher: Spooky Explosive Fun 🎃
In the spirit of October, the Pumpkin Launcher makes a return. Launch explosive jack-o’-lanterns to give your opponents a spine-tingling scare. You can find Pumpkin Launchers on the ground, in regular and Rare Chests, Holo-Chests, and even carried by flying drones.
Witch Broom: Take to the Skies 🧹
Need to make a quick escape or engage in aerial combat? Enter the unvaulted Witch Broom. Activate this magical broomstick to swiftly launch yourself into the air and gracefully glide back to the ground. It’s an essential tool for unexpected skirmishes. Look for Witch Brooms on the ground and in Chests.
Sanguine Sweets: Candy with Perks 🍬
Candy plays a significant role in Fortnitemares 2023. Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hop Drops, and Jelly Beans have been unvaulted, each offering unique benefits. For instance, Hop Drops provide a temporary low gravity effect. You can find these delightful Candy items by searching Candy Buckets, ringing doorbells, defeating guards, or taking down bosses.
Fortnitemares Quests and Rewards: Unlock the Spooky Goodies 🎁
Participating in Fortnitemares Quests is a must. Completing these Quests not only grants you XP but also unlocks eerie Locker items based on the number of Quests completed:
- Complete 5 Fortnitemares Quests to earn the Bat Royale Back Bling and a Cat Banner Icon.
- Complete 15 Fortnitemares Quests to earn the Sweet! Emote, Phantasmic Fall Contrail, and Hypno-Bat Spray.
- Complete 25 Fortnitemares Quests to earn the Revenant Rider Glider, Within the Sanctum Loading Screen, and Rise of the Revenant Lobby Track.
These Quests will challenge you to engage with Thorne’s properties, utilize the new and unvaulted Fortnitemares items, and even earn XP in creator-made experiences. A delightful break from the usual Battle Royale grind!
Horde Rush Returns: Team Up and Survive 🧟♂️
Horde Rush, a beloved limited-time experience, makes a comeback. Team up with others and face off against Cube Monster hordes at different locations. Survive each onslaught until you confront the Final Boss. Earn points through combos and score multipliers as you take down monsters. Horde Rush will be available until the end of Fortnitemares.
Horde Rush Quests and Rewards: Prove Your Prowess 💪
Horde Rush introduces its own set of Quests, available until Fortnitemares concludes. Completing these Quests not only grants XP but also unlocks new Locker items:
- Complete 1 Horde Rush Quest to earn the Murk Wrap.
- Complete 4 Horde Rush Quests to earn the Heart-o-Lantern Emoticon.
- Complete 7 Horde Rush Quests to earn the Batwing Bonespike Pickaxe.
These Quests challenge you to land Cube Monster headshots, attack Cube Monster spawners, collect score multipliers, and more. It’s a thrilling adventure in teamwork and monster-slaying!
New and Returning Outfits: Dress for the Occasion 👻
Fortnitemares 2023 introduces a captivating lineup of new and returning Outfits. From wrapped rapscallions to meownstrosities, there’s a haunting ensemble for every player’s taste. Keep an eye on the Item Shop for these chilling costumes.
More New Outfits on the Horizon 🎃
Fans of Disney’s Jack Skellington are in for a treat. The “Pumpkin King” Set, featuring the iconic Jack Skellington Outfit, is coming to the Item Shop. This Set also includes the Santa Jack alt Style and two Emotes, including the spine-tingling Jack’s Scary Face Emote.
Michael Myers and Alan Wake: A New Level of Spookiness 🎬
Prepare for the arrival of Michael Myers, known as “The Shape,” and best-selling novelist Alan Wake. These iconic characters are joining the Fortnite roster during Fortnitemares 2023. Keep an eye on the Item Shop for their outfits and accompanying items.
V26.30: Returning Reality Augments 🔄
In this update, the Game Time, Icy Slide, and Rushing Reload Reality Augments are making a comeback. These augments add exciting twists to your gameplay, so be sure to explore them.
Quick Weapon Action (Beta): Streamlined Combat 🎮
A beta feature called Quick Weapon action has been added to Controller Options. It simplifies weapon swapping, making it more intuitive and efficient. You can now switch to your primary item with ease and even customize your controls for a personalized gaming experience.
Ending Support for OS9 on Android Devices 📱
Starting with v28.00, Fortnite will require Android OS10 or higher for official support. Android OS9 will no longer be officially supported, which means compatibility may deteriorate over time. Fortunately, alternative options like Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and Amazon Luna are available for OS9 users to enjoy Fortnite via streaming.

Resolved Issues
Quest Tab Exclamation Mark
- Fixed the issue where the exclamation mark above the Quest tab wouldn’t disappear. Now, once you check your quests, the exclamation mark should clear as expected.
Tree Rendering
- Corrected the glitch causing some trees to render improperly. Trees should now display correctly in all game modes.
Preset Deletion
- Resolved the issue that prevented players from deleting presets. To delete a preset, go to your locker, select the preset you wish to remove, and click the delete option.
Mainframe Throwback Quest Pack Pickaxe
- Fixed the texture issue with the Mainframe Throwback Quest Pack’s Pickaxe styles. The pickaxe should now display the correct texture in all styles.
