Fortnite update 1.000.173 is available to download on PS5, Xbox, Switch, and PC. According to the official Fortnite 1.000.173 patch notes, the latest update 34.21 brings Mortal Kombat’s Scorpion as a boss with powerful rewards, new Kombat Quests, and a Klassic Kombat Bundle featuring Scorpion, Raiden, and Kitana. Today’s Fortnite patch 1.000.173 also fixes missing UI elements, ranked reward preview errors, and ADS functionality in Fortnite Mobile.

• Scorpion Arrives: Defeat Scorpion to earn his Mythic Kombat Kit and First Blood Medallion.
• New Landmarks: Explore The Pit, The Living Forest, and The Dead Pool.
• Kombat Quests: Complete Klassic Kombat Quests for 30,000 XP each.

Fortnite x Mortal Kombat

• Scorpion Joins the Fight:

  • Available on April 1 at one of three new locations: The Pit, The Living Forest, or The Dead Pool.

  • Defeat him to earn:

    • Mythic Scorpion’s Kombat Kit – Use Scorpion’s Spear to pull enemies in and unleash combos.

    • First Blood Medallion – Your first shot per magazine explodes on impact.

  • Standard Scorpion’s Kombat Kit can be found in Chests starting April 1.

New Kombat Quests – Unlock April 1 at 9 AM ET

• Earn 30,000 XP for completing each:

  • Hit 10 players with Ice Slide.

  • Deal 500 damage at The Pit’s bridge.

  • Shatter 5 enemy shields beyond 10 meters.

  • Collect the First Blood Medallion in two matches.

  • Hit an opponent with an air kick & uppercut within 5 seconds.

  • Defeat Scorpion while carrying Sub-Zero’s Kombat Kit.

• Available now in the Shop, includes:

General Fixes

• Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Engine Audio – Fixed an issue where the vehicle’s engine audio was not playing the intended version.

• Technician Naya Outfit – Resolved display issues when using Performance Mode.

Battle Royale

• Rocket Drill Fall Damage – Pressing “Rocket forward” mid-air after running out of charge now correctly retains the slow fall effect, preventing unintended fall damage.

LEGO Fortnite

• Missing ‘Exit’ Option on PlayStation – The ‘Exit’ option now properly appears in Edit and Decorate Mode when moving away from the Housing Lot on PS4/PS5.

Rocket Racing

• Foliage Trail Ranked Rewards – Fixed an issue where all preview styles incorrectly displayed in Forest Green instead of their correct variations.

Save the World

• HUD Resource Count – The HUD now correctly shows the recently picked-up resource amount instead of the total amount.

• Proximity Mine Placement – Fixed an issue where placing a Proximity Mine could limit movement and restrict inventory access.

Fortnite Mobile

• ADS Mode Switching – Addressed an issue where aiming down sights (ADS) remained active when switching between Combat and Build Mode.

• ‘Combined ADS+Fire’ Setting – Fixed inconsistencies where the setting did not function correctly in certain experiences.

Known Issues (To Be Fixed in v34.30)

• Tab Switching Issue – Players selecting Save the World mode and visiting the Shop may get stuck and be unable to switch tabs. A fix is expected in the next update.

Previously, a major Fortnite update 29.00 added new features, new LTM modes, new changes, and much more. Unfortunately, players are still facing several issues with the game. Today’s Fortnite version 1.000.173 will fix a few of these issues.
