Fortnite update 1.000.151 is available to download on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. According to the official Fortnite 31.40 patch notes, the latest update brings Fortnitemares 2024 with Boom Billy, a chainsaw weapon, the return of Horde Rush, new quests, and rewards like the Great Scarecrow Glider.. Additionally, today’s Fortnite patch 31.20 also quality of life changes.
Previously, a major Fortnite update 29.00 added new features, new LTM modes, new changes, and much more. Unfortunately, players are still facing several issues with the game. Today’s Fortnite patch 1.000.151 will address a few of these issues.

New Features and Content
Fortnitemares 2024 Event
- Duration: Runs from now until the end of Chapter 5, Season 4.
- Event Overview: Frightening festivities with quests, cosmetics, and challenges.
Boom Billy
- How It Works: Throw a mini Billy the Puppet that locks onto and explodes on the nearest player.
- Locations: Find Boom Billys on the ground, in chests, or by defeating the real Billy at Freaky Fields.
Jigsaw’s Challenge
- Gameplay: Players duel each other after accepting a challenge from Jigsaw on TV monitors across the island.
- Explosive Twist: Both players wear explosive bear masks that detonate if they fail to eliminate their target.
- Rewards: Successful players earn Boom Billys, Witch Brooms, and more.
Chainsaw Weapon
- Use: Slash enemies or rev into the ground for high-speed movement.
- Availability: Found on the ground or in chests.

Unvaulted Items
- Wood Stake Shotgun: Fires wooden stakes, especially effective against undead enemies.
- Pumpkin Launcher: Launches explosive jack-o’-lanterns.
- Witch Broom: Allows players to fly and glide down.

- Shuri’s Black Panther Claws: Temporarily removed to make room for Fortnitemares content.
