Monster Hunter Rise PC is now available to download on PC(Steam). Unfortunately, there are various reports where Monster Hunter Rise failed to save the game. This is a bug where MH Rise saves the file but can’t read it later.
Today we have posted a workaround to address the MH Rise “Failed to Save” bug on PC. Read more details below.
How to fix Monster Hunter Rise “Failed to Save” error?
- Disable Steam Cloud and quit the game.
Go to your Library in the Steam client, right click on Monster Hunter Rise, then select [Properties] > [General] > [Steam Cloud].
- Delete save data from the local files for the demo and full version.
Go to the below folder and delete the folders “1446780” and “1641480”.
*Be careful not to delete the wrong folder!
It is advised you copy the folders to another location before deleting them just to be safe.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata(User ID)\remote\
- Reboot your PC.
If this doesn’t work for you, follow the other workaround mentioned below.
Add the game’s folder and files to your anti-virus program’s exception / exclusion list
Give administrator privileges to Steam and the game.
Update your Video/Graphics Drivers and Windows Operating System.
Check your graphics driver settings & computer power settings.
Update DirectX.
Update your Windows Media Player codecs.
Verify the game’s cache in Steam
- Open the Settings panel by selecting “Steam > Settings”
- In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab
- Now click the “Clear Download Cache” buttonat the bottom. Then select “OK” to confirm and acknowledge that you’ll need to login to Steam again.
Verify Integrity of Monster Hunter Rise Game Files
- Restart your computer and launch Steam.
- Next, right-click the game in your Library.
- From the drop-down menu, select. Properties…
- Select the. Local Files. …
- Steam will verify the game’s files.
This process may take several minutes.
