[Fixed] Lost Ark Connection Time Out & Server Authentication Failure

Lost Ark is now available to download on PC. However, players are experiencing a Lost Ark connection timed out issue. There are also reports of Lost Ark server authentication failure error 10010 and network disconnection issues. Today, we have posted a few workarounds to address the connection time out issue in Lost Ark.

How to fix the Lost Ark Connectivity Issue?

  • Make sure that your computer isn’t downloading Windows updates, other games, etc. Performing tasks that involve downloading updates can drastically decrease your computer’s available bandwidth.
  • Identify if others in your household are running high bandwidth applications like video streaming, or online gaming. Closing high bandwidth applications or turning off high bandwidth devices may reduce latency.
  • Don’t use a VPN or Proxy while playing, they can cause connectivity issues such as high latency.

How to fix the Lost Ark Connection Timed Out issue?

It is also possible that your online experience is affected by your NAT type.

In general:

  • NAT 1 can be connected with NAT 1,
  • NAT 2 and NAT 3 NAT 2 can be connected with NAT 1 and NAT 2, but not NAT 3
  • NAT 3 can be connected with NAT 1, but not NAT 2 or NAT 3

If your platform is Steam, you may also have the so-called Moderate NAT type, while Dying Light, along with a number of other multiplayer games, heavily relies on NAT.

Additionally, if you have your Internet router set to IPV6, try changing it to IPV4.

How to fix Lost Ark Server Authentication Failure error 10010 and 10027?

Players are getting random errors in Lost Ark which includes the following.

Error code WOx2-OPELPWN1N2NT

Error code W0x3-SPELPWN1N2NT

Lost Ark error code 10027 and more.

To fix these issue follow the steps below.

Power cycle your PC.

You can restart, perform a full power cycle, or physically disconnect your Xbox console to reboot it completely and fix many common issues. This process does not erase any of your games or data.

Reset network hardware.

  1. First, shut down all computers or consoles connected to your modem or router.
  2. Power down and unplug the modem or router.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug in and turn on the modem and router. If your device has lights on the front, you will notice them blinking. This is normal. It can take a while for the connection to be fully re-established.
  5. Start the computer or console again and allow it to completely boot up.

The reset is now done. Please test your game to see if the issue still persists.

Switch to a wired connection.

Switching to a wired connection ensures that lag isn’t being caused by wireless interference, weak wireless signal, etc.

Connect your computer directly to your router or modem and then disable your computer’s wireless adapter to ensure it’s not being used.

Verify Lost Ark Game Files

  1. Restart your computer and launch Steam
  2. Next, you can either right click the Lost Ark in your Library, or click the gear icon from the Lost Ark’s Library page on the far right.
  3. From the drop down menu, select Properties
  4. Select the Local Files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files … button.

Lost Ark Firewall Settings

Try adding Windows firewall exceptions manually:

  1. Press Windows + R, type “firewall.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
  2. Click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall and then click Change settings.
  3. Look for the game in the list of allowed apps and features. If it’s present, make sure it’s checked, and that both the Private and Public columns have a check mark. If the game is missing from the list, you must add it.
  1. Click Allow another app…, locate and select LostArkLauncher.exe, and then click Add.
  2. Once you’ve done that, make sure that New World has check marks under both the Private and Public columns.

Close other applications that may be taking up your bandwidth

Closing applications that take up high amounts of bandwidth, or experience bandwidth spikes, may reduce the total bandwidth available on your computer.

  1. Press CTRL+Alt+Del on your keyboard, then select Task Manager.
  2. Under the Processes tab click Network to filter applications by their network usage.
  3. End any applications or tasks taking up high amounts of bandwidth.

Update Your Windows

Make sure you are on the latest version of Windows to support newer titles.

  • In Windows Search type “Update”, and click on Check for Updates
  • This will take you to the Windows Update section, and you can make sure you are on the latest version

Restart Your PC

  • If all else fails, try to restart your PC and launch the game again. The game developers are working to address the Lost Ark servers are unreachable error.
