Restart your console:

• Turn off your console and then turn it back on.

In order to sign in to PSN, your PS4 or your PS5 needs to have the latest version of the system software installed.

Using the PS4

1. First, make sure your PS4 is connected to the internet, and go to Settings > System Software Update.
2. The PS4 will now detect if there is an update available for the System Software. If there is, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.

1. First, make sure your PS5 is connected to the internet, and go to Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings > Update System Software.
2. The PS5 will now detect if there is an update available for the System Software. If there is, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
