Fishing Planet Update 5.20 Patch Notes for PS4, PC and Xbox One

Fishing Planet update 5.20 is available to download on PS4, Xbox One and PC. According to the official Fishing Planet 5.20 patch notes, the latest update focuses on optimizing and enhancing the performance of the Dnipro River Map, aiming to provide a smoother and more enjoyable experience for all players. Apart from this, Fishing Planet patch 5.20 also includes stability fixes.

Previously, a big Fishing Planet update 4.16 added the Selenge Mongolia and various quality-of-life fixes. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Fishing Planet version 5.20 will fix a few of these issues.

Competitions:

  • An issue where the competition end signal played on the loading screen after a competition had ended has been resolved.
  • The tooltip “A Search” no longer gets stuck after changing tabs when the cursor is in the search field during competitions.
  • The new fish “European Weatherfish” is now correctly scored in the “Catch ‘Em All” competition.
  • D-pad functionality has been restored in the Entry Fee window for Custom competitions.
  • The button for opening the “My Sports Events” list has been fixed when multiple events are present on the list.
  • An issue preventing players from changing the Entry Fee amount for Custom Competitions has been resolved.

Gameplay & Visuals:

  • An issue where the rod could be cast into the rock mountain on the Selenge River has been fixed.
  • A fog issue when the flashlight was turned on at night has been resolved.
  • The fins animation in photomode and third-person view has been corrected when the fish is hanging on a lip grip or hook.
  • A visual defect at the connection between the leader and the main fishing line while holding a fish caught by trolling has been fixed.
  • Endless spool unwinding when casting beyond terrain boundaries has been resolved.
  • Issues with Warmouth and Bluegill fish having fins raised too high have been addressed.
  • The Splake fish missing textures issue has been fixed.
  • Seagulls now properly display at lower video quality settings.
  • Camera view issues when catching a fish have been resolved.
  • The thumbnail of the golden Thorn Jig Head has been changed to display it correctly without a barb.
  • Image loading issues have been resolved.
  • Players now pick up the correct rod from the stand based on the indicator light.
  • An issue where spod rods could not be placed on the rod stand has been fixed.
  • The photo mode issue for Mad-Eye Buffalo Monster fish has been resolved.
  • An issue with flashlights not being visible on the waterways has been fixed.
  • The volume for Ukrainian folk songs playing on the Dnipro River map has been decreased in response to player feedback.
