Fishing Planet Update 5.11 Patch Notes for PS4

Fishing Planet update 5.11 is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. According to the official Fishing Planet 5.11 patch notes, the latest update addresses a wide range of issues and brings improvements. Apart from this, Fishing Planet patch 5.09 also addressed a bug where the ‘Keep/Release’ buttons were missing after catching a fish.

Previously, a big Fishing Planet update 4.16 added the Selenge Mongolia and various quality-of-life fixes. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s Fishing Planet version 5.11 will fix a few of these issues.

Fishing Planet 5.11 Patch Notes – September 10, 2024

Visual and Sound Enhancements:

  • Fixed grass textures not displaying on Maron River.
  • Addressed inaudible character footsteps on wooden piers.
  • Resolved silicone lures hanging parallel to the ground after catching fish.
  • Corrected the game’s start screen music overriding in-game music settings.
  • Adjusted the excessively bright tablet map.
  • Fixed boat engine sound persisting post saltwater competition.

UI and Navigation:

  • Updated “Buy Receive” and “Product Details” windows.
  • Fixed disappearing scroll bar in the license purchase tab.
  • Resolved map zoom issues in Volans and Scutum.
  • Fixed scrolling function in Fish Storage descriptions.
  • Reworked item selling and repairing pop-ups.
  • Improved map interaction by adding input lock on tablets.

Gameplay Improvements:

  • Fixed exploit allowing instant fish reeling by maneuvering boats in circles.
  • Resolved input control issues with PS controllers.
  • Added feature highlighting the last bait of a kind with a red circle.
  • Fixed players sliding from boats to land.
  • Resolved bait selection exit issue with Game Chat open.
  • Fixed overly fast-moving fish schools on Blue Crab Island.
  • Corrected lure depth issues during trolling.
  • Resolved camera restriction when retrieving fish from water.

Tournament and Competition Fixes:

  • Fixed broken flag displays in tournament locations.
  • Addressed scoring issues after disconnection during qualifiers.
  • Fixed issue where fish caught after disconnection didn’t count towards scores.
  • Resolved boat position resetting after disconnections in competitions.
  • Corrected issue with Apply button functionality.

Fishing Together (FT):

  • Fixed input blocking issues with PS controllers in FT sessions.
  • Resolved boat moving to the center of the map after host disconnection.
  • Corrected “Extend Stay” window appearing for FT guests before the host.
  • Fixed synchronization issues when spawning on a boat in FT sessions.
  • Resolved issues with FT Finish screen when moving between rooms.

Photo Mode and Visual Glitches:

  • Fixed camera clipping through Motor and Bass Boat textures in Photo Mode.
  • Resolved character positioning issues in Photo Mode on bass boats.
  • Addressed character display under the pier at Green Harbor after fishing.
  • Corrected fishing line color discrepancy between Photo Mode and first-person view.
  • Fixed rods being cast into walls in the marina at Kaiji No Ri.
  • Resolved bug with fish detaching from the gaff when rotating characters.
  • Fixed incorrect fishing rod animations during compost pile interactions.

Inventory and Item Management:

  • Corrected fishing line template issues in setup slots.
  • Fixed setup slots shifting to empty after game restarts.

Various Improvements and Bug Fixes:

  • Resolved issue with “Reel of Fortune.”
  • Fixed rod shaking while putting on glasses.
  • Corrected Fish Finder depth not matching scale on older devices.
  • Resolved mouse cursor visibility issue in private UGC competitions.
