* Players who have already participated in the Ishgardian Restoration will also need to speak to this NPC to begin the new chapter.

To coincide with the updates to the Ishgardian Restoration, new materials can now be crafted and submitted.
* The Ishgardian Restoration materials from the previous chapter may still be submitted, but the reward amounts have been reduced.

The Kupo of Fortune has been added.

Crafters submitting items to the Ishgardian Restoration can now participate in the Kupo of Fortune.
* The corresponding class must be level 20 or above.

Stamps

The Kupo of Fortune is a game of chance that can be played by delivering certain items to Potkin in the Firmament (X:12.2 Y:14.6) and collecting stamps on a voucher.
Once you have collected five stamps, you may exchange the voucher for a Kupo of Fortune card. You may carry up to ten Kupo of Fortune cards. The items that offer stamps vary according to the player’s crafter class level.

How to Play

To play, hand a Kupo of Fortune card to Lizbeth (X:12.2 Y:14.6) in the Firmament.

Upon each card, there are four treasure chests depicted by hexagons─one on the left and three on the right. You may choose one chest to scratch open.

The lone chest on the left offers second to fourth prize, while the three chests on the right offer first to fifth, with the fifth being a consolation prize. The prizes available change each time, and we recommend that you review the prize list before playing.

Gatherers may now travel to the Diadem to collect items for use in Ishgardian Restoration crafter recipes.

Level Requirement Miner/Botanist/Fisher level 10
Item Level Requirement None

Experience Point Gain

Adjustments are made to experience point gain for each item gathered. To a certain degree, even low-level items will grant experience points appropriate to the player’s current level.

Special Weather Conditions

Some items can only be gathered under certain weather conditions. Should such conditions occur, it is the ideal time to seek out these rare items.

Aetheromatic Auger

During forays to the Diadem, you will gain access to the duty action Aetheromatic Auger. In order to perform the action, you must first increase the auger’s store of compressed aether by gathering as a miner or botanist. When you have enough compressed aether, you may expend it to unleash a powerful attack against an enemy. Enemies defeated using the auger are known to yield a wealth of resources.

Item Inspection

Flotpassant in the Firmament (X:10.8 Y:14.0) will any inspect items gathered in the Diadem.

Upon inspection, skybuilders’ scrips are awarded according to the number of items and their type. Inspected items can also be used in Ishgardian Restoration crafting recipes or sold on the market.

The Resource Requirements subcommand has been added to the crafting log.

By selecting this subcommand for Ishgardian Restoration recipes, you can see how many inspected and uninspected materials you have in your possession.

Skyward points can now be earned by submitting or inspecting certain Ishgardian Restoration items.

Accumulated scores are tallied separately for each Disciple of the Hand and Land class and count towards various achievements.

Rankings have been added to the Ishgardian Restoration.

For a given period, each player’s skyward points are tallied and listed on the Lodestone. The skyward points earned during the ranking period are known as the seasonal score. Players finishing in high ranks will be eligible for rewards and achievements.

Ranking Period

The ranking period lasts from the release of Patch 5.21 until March 19, 2020, at 11:00 p.m. (PDT). Seasonal scores are tallied for each class, with rankings divided by World and class.
* Seasonal scores can only be accumulated on a player’s Home World.

To view rankings in game, speak with Ludovraint in the Firmament (X:10.6 Y:14.6).

Expert recipes are now available for crafters.

While these recipes are harder to craft, they are worth more points when submitted to the Ishgardian Restoration.

Expert recipes are indicated with an icon in the crafting log.

Crafting Expert Recipes

When crafting expert recipes, the condition will not change to “excellent” or “poor.” However, in addition to “normal” and “good,” the following new conditions may occur:

Condition Effect
Centered Increases action success rate by 25%.
Sturdy Reduces loss of durability by 50%.
* Effect can be stacked with Waste Not and Waste Not II.
Pliant Reduces CP cost by 50%.

Previous steps of the Ishgardian Restoration can be viewed from the skybuilders’ board in the Firmament, under Past Progress.

Information on the Ishgardian Restoration is now displayed in the Duty List when you are in the Pillars, Foundation, or the Firmament.

For this information to display, you must first complete the sidequest “Towards the Firmament.”

New skybuilders’ scrip items are available for exchange from Enie in the Firmament (X:12.0 Y:14.0).

  • An issue in Cinder Drift (Normal and Extreme) wherein, under certain conditions, touching the barrier around the edge of the map would cause the player to be KO’d.
  • An issue in the guildleve “It’s a Trap” wherein an object used to complete the leve would appear in a location that could not be accessed.
  • An issue wherein the following fishing locations could not be used:
    Central Thanalan: The Clutch
    Northern Thanalan: Ceruleum Field
    Southern Thanalan: Burnt Lizard Creek
    Lower La Noscea: Empty Heart
  • An issue in ocean fishing wherein participating in subsequent instances caused the message “The fish sense something amiss. Perhaps it is time to try another location.” to display, preventing the player from catching fish.
  • An issue in crafting wherein, under certain conditions, the effect of Groundwork was not applied correctly.
  • An issue wherein the required collectability listed for certain collectables was incorrect.
  • An issue wherein the player could not stand at certain sightseeing locations in Il Mheg.
  • An issue wherein, under certain conditions, markers did not appear on the minimap.

Known Issues

  • An issue in the Ishgardian Restoration wherein, under certain conditions, crafter’s primary tools are displayed incorrectly during concerted works.
  • An issue in the Diadem wherein it is not possible to cast at certain fishing locations.
  • An issue wherein, under certain conditions, the bread used in the “Eat Bread” emote is displayed incorrectly.
  • An issue wherein using a parasol does not prevent the wet effect being applied to weapons when it is raining.
  • An issue in the Ishgardian Restoration wherein speaking with Ludovraint in the Firmament and selecting “View my skyward score” causes some parts of the window that appears to be displayed incorrectly.
  • An issue wherein the text describing the aetheromatic auger incorrectly states that compressed aether can be increased by fishers. Compressed aether can only be increased by miners and botanists.
