Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) Update 7.90 PS4 Patch Notes

Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) update 7.90 for PlayStation 4 is now available. According to the official Final Fantasy 14 update 7.90 patch notes, the new update brings gameplay changes and bug fixes. Apart from this, the latest Final Fantasy XIV version 7.90 also the resolves several issues related to server performance, game client bugs, and UI bugs.

Previously, a big update was released with New cities, New field areas, gameplay changes, bug fixes and more. Unfortunately, since the last patch, many players are experiencing a number of issues when trying to play the game. Today’s FFXIV 7.90 for PS4 is expected to fix a few of these issues.

Quests

As a result of recent balance changes, the actions required to complete the monk job quest “Return of the Monk” have been adjusted.

Treasure Hunt

The Dungeons of Lyhe Ghiah, a special instance similar to the Aquapolis and the Lost Canals of Uznair, can be accessed after finding and opening treasure coffers obtained from zonureskin treasure maps. Here, players will have the chance to test their luck and obtain priceless treasures.

  • New items have been added.
  • New recipes have been added.
  • New master recipes have been added.
  • New mounts have been added.
  • New minions have been added.

System

  • New achievements and titles have been added.
  • Another summoning bell has been added to the Crystarium (X:9.9 Y:8.3).

Bug Fixes

  • An issue in the scholar job quest “A Safe Place to Hide” wherein the quest required that Lustrate be used outside of combat. However, due to recent changes, this is no longer possible, meaning that the quest could not be completed.
    * A different action is now required to complete the quest.
  • An issue wherein certain machinist job quests could not be completed after reaching level 76, which upgrades Hot Shot to Air Anchor.
    * A different action is now required to complete the quests.
  • An issue in the FATE “Attack on Highbridge: Denouement” wherein, under certain conditions, more than one Bertram would appear.
  • An issue wherein changing the appearance of a Garuda-Egi to that of a Carbuncle would cause the effects for Wind Blade to be displayed incorrectly.
  • An issue wherein the tooltips for the summoner PvE action Tri-disaster were incorrect.
    * Only the tooltips have been changed. No changes have been made to the action itself.
  • An issue wherein the information regarding potency in the the tooltips for the monk PvE action Tornado Kick was incorrect.
    * Only the information regarding potency has been corrected. No changes have been made to the action itself.
  • An issue wherein the tooltips for the white mage PvP action Temperance were incorrect.
    * Only the tooltips have been changed. No changes have been made to the action itself.
  • An issue wherein, under certain conditions, completing duties with one or more party members who have yet to complete the duty did not grant players Second Chances for Wondrous Tails.
  • An issue in the Deep Dungeons wherein the player’s HP and attack power were incorrect.
  • An issue wherein, under certain conditions, Viera hairstyles were no longer displayed after changing them with the aesthetician.
  • An issue wherein the recommended number of players was displayed incorrectly for timeworn gliderskin maps.
  • An issue wherein the effect for Reuse was not displayed in the crafting menu.
  • Added matchmaking improvements.
  • Added fixes for crashing issues.
  • Fixed stuttering and lag issues.
  • Added some UI fixes.
  • Added performance and stability improvements.
  • Addressed various minor bug fixes.
