Final Fantasy VII (7) Remake update 1.02 is now available for PS4 and Xbox One players. According to the official Final Fantasy 7 update 1.02 patch notes, the latest update added support for PlayStation 5. Apart from this, FF7 version 1.02 also added support save game data transfer.
Previously, a big update added quality of life improvements and fixes. Unfortunately, since the last update, many players were experiencing a number of issues when trying to play the game online.

Final Fantasy VII (7) Patch 1.02 Notes for PS4 (June 3, 2021)
Added support for PS5.
Now you can transfer save data to PS5. A new option “upload save data.” added.
” From this menu, you can transfer your PlayStation 4 final fantasy 7 Remake save data to your PlayStation 5 console. Please select the data you wish to upload. You may upload as many times as you want, but each one must be uploaded individually. Please note that your settings will not transfer over. Additionally, while your trophies will transfer over you may receive multiple obtainment notifications and quick succession.”
